1 TPB. Are you sure this wasn't an actual episode? This was an actual episode. It felt so real. Pam's sudden realization that she didn't want to marry Roy, let alone BE with Roy, was just as refreshing and heartbreaking as I'm sure Pam felt. But then Fancy New Beesly standing up for what she wants after they're home and not letting Roy talk her out of it. Ugh. And she already had a plan for Isabel to come get her, so she couldn't back out. Ten years gone, but a lifetime more in front of her (hopefully with Jim.) Amazing job, TPB

She needed him to know that there was more to the story, even though he had been written into most of the chapters by now. -- This really gets me every time. Beautifully written.
And of course I have to comment on the King, Prince, and Joker of the friend zone. Ugh. I love that line SO much.
I couldn't rave about this story enough, but I hope you know how much i truly love it. (You should, since I tell you like 80 times a day.)
1 You've heard this a million times, but here it is again. I am SO proud of you. I know how much of a pain in the butt this was to write for you and how you considered not writing it a few times. But you did it. And you did it SO WELL.
You captured their emotions perfectly throughout this entire story. How devastated, heartbroken, then hopeful and finally just happy they were.
The smut was perfect. I love how you went back and forth between how they were feeling and what they were doing. You did it perfectly (twss).
And you finally got to put in your fluff at the end. The rephrasing of the "Are you free for dinner tonight" had me dying in the best way possible. What a perfect way to end this, since season 3 would be completely different if this had happened.
I loved every second, every word of this story. Thank you for giving this to us, and I can't wait for more angst from you because I *will* win.
1 I'm horrible at reviewing so I apologize for that but know that I skip over this fic for a few days so I can binge read the newest updates all at once because I can never get enough of them. But this poem might be my favorite so far, I absolutely adore it to no end. You are a fantastic writer, Dernhelm, I don't know how you do it.

1 Warrior this was so cute! The fact that it's based off of a TSwift song, with another TSwift song referenced in the car only makes it better. I loved the idea of calling Larissa "Elle" only to reveal that one of Jim's nicknames for her is "L" that was genius. I loved that they finally got their acts together and decided they wanted to be together. Mr. Beesly certainly did throw a wrench in their plans, but her sneaking out onto the roof to meet him was adorable. And then the proposal surprised me, but I loved it so much!! Ugh, this was so good! I loved it!!

1 TPB. I never knew I needed to see what happened after Local Ad until right now. Possessive Jim is one of my favorite Jims, I wish we got to see more of him. Ugh. He owns my heart. Calling the bartender "Motorcycle Waiter Dude" made me laugh every time.
But mostly I need to compliment your use of metaphors in this fic. There were so many and all of them were just beautiful. This was amazing, truly.
1 WW. What. I wake up to a BtB sequel?! I have been waiting for this day for months now and now I can finally die happy (only to come back to life to finish reading this sequel because I am not missing a second of this).
Onto the actual fic tho. Her grabbing his tie and pulling it to kiss her just about killed me and I had only just begun. The names you chose were hilarious. Chardonnay and Jack Daniels were my favorite, but I also have a soft spot for Houston, I wonder why LOL. AND THEN. "Show me" where is Warrior because I'm going to need to be resuscitated.

1 I LOVE THIS. Wacky hair day was my fave, but duo day is a *very* close second. Maybe they're tied, I don't know. But I loved every other day as well. Seriously so amazing. I loved Jim finally dressing up in order to cheer Pam up. It reminds me of the halloween episode of the show, which is so, so, so perfect. I love when Jim does things he normally wouldn't do, just for Pam. Ugh. Please never stop writing.

Your Michael is amazing. I was cracking up anytime he was included. The driver's outfit was just perfection. "NASCAR is an acronym *and* a palindrome." What an idiot. (; I can't wait to see Pam's reaction to Karen and Danny's offer. Speaking of which, I am so excited that Karen and Danny are involved! Even though their basketball team is apparently garbage, I have to imagine their school is more well run with them as principal/vice principal versus Michael and Jan hahahah. I also loved the little moments referencing the show like Marie the concierge and the "wow, I hope it's urine." Amazing. Youre a genius.

Okay but for real, I loved everything about this. Meredith showing up for parent teacher conferences and asking if she can persuade Jim to raise Jake's grade as Pam just laughed beside him, it couldn't have been more perfect. And then Pam being so supportive of Jim wanting to take the coaching job. Ugh. And then the little bonus scene at the end with Pam in the button down and seducing Jim while he's on the phone? Murder me. Literally stab me in the heart cuz wow I loved that. Can't wait for the next chapter, that's getting posted now, right?
1 Oh Jim. Jim, Jim, Jim, Jim, Jim. In an alternate universe, something similar happens where you dont talk to your wife and guess what? You just about lose her. Dont make the same mistakes as that Jim. Also that salty line has me dead. I adore pregnant Pam.

I love that this year we’re almost getting a season 9-like story, itll be so fun (and so, so painful) to see how they go through it in teacher world. Pregnant teacher pam is my absolute favorite and I am soooo glad she’s back even if it means we have to go through some heartbreak. “It was the first time she had ever skipped kissing him goodnight.” I mean.. ow. I love it.
1 Well, this just broke my heart into a million pieces. Paper Airplanes is one of my top episodes because of the hug and kiss after this scene, so I'm not ready to face a reality where that doesn't happen, but I'm also so interested in where this is going to go. Great job!!
Author's Response: I know! It's a really unpopular opinion but Season 9 was one of my favorite seasons because of how it tackled Jim and Pam's relationship. The hug is definitely one of my top 5 scenes in the show. So it was hard for me to rewrite it. Thanks for the review!

1 Em this was so good!! A great first dive into some real deep angst! Especially with no happy ending, those are always hard to pull off but you did so well! I can definitely imagine Pam driving by his old place after he went to Stamford. Heartbreaking, but so good.

1 Pardon me while I go burn my laptop to the ground. Bored, the way you write is just gorgeous. As if I needed another reason to love you more, you give us this and just like how Pam could never repay Jim for taking her to Paris, I could never repay you for giving us this masterpiece. You did have me honestly scared, though, when Karen showed up and Pam left. But it was so worth it for Jim's speech at the end. Ugh. I loved every second of this.

1 Okay, ow. This was such a *genius* way to write about the song, but it still hurt. There's literally no other word for this other than perfection. I could feel Pam's hurting throughout all of this, and then her happiness right there at the end. "She couldn’t help but to confess to herself (only in her mind, never aloud) that the most honest she’d been in a long time was when the backs of her thighs were pressed against his desk and she was kissing him (it hurt too much to even think his name, so she tried not to)." This really just hit me. Amazing job, BT.
1 This was so good. I lovedddd the concept of this, with the episodes airing shortly after being filmed. That definitely would have made the relationships within the show way different. You would think that the episodes airing so close to the events would have Jim and Pam realize that they both love each other a little sooner, but Jim really did put on a good act, so I get how they were still misunderstanding. Our little idiots, never seeing what's right in front of them. Such a good chapter, though! I loved it and how you incorporated the song!

1 Gonna read part two now but if its “better” than this one like you say it is, I might just die. I dont mind, though. Your way of writing never ceases to amaze me. Its elegant and beautiful and really shouldnt be legal but also never stop. Im also adoring all of the references to both the show and Taylor.
1 This literally couldnt have been better. The wait was so, so, so very much worth it. All of the little easter eggs/references, the funny moments, the steamier moments, I could have read this for forever. Printing this out and framing it asap.
This was one of the songs I was so curious on how you guys were going to make into a Jam fic but you did it beautifully. Broke my heart from the very beginning with Jim not interrupting the talking head but then put it all back together with giving us the “are you free for dinner tonight” line at the end. Just realized I hadnt gotten around to reading this, and man have I been missing out. This is a perfect s9 song, and you did it soooo much justice. My heart kept breaking for them both, Pam especially. The little tidbits of steam mixed in there perfectly, and really added to the comparisons of how they used to be to how they were feeling now. So, so, so good!!
“ But he pulls away and says “we’re drunk,” and she thinks I’m not drunk, are you drunk? The words lodge in her throat and instead she whispers her agreement and apology and lets her hand fall away from his still freezing grip.” This all broke my heart but this right here completely shattered it. Ouch.
This was so good, though, even if it destroyed me a little bit (but let’s be honest, if it doesnt hurt, did you really love it?). You intertwined the lyrics so flawlessly. Pam being the stone house that she is hoping Jim can cover in ivy and break through was amazing. “Feels a lot like grieving for the living.” Ugh. I loved it.
