Over the moon seeing another chapter up! This was a little painful, they are so in tune with each other, so in love with each other, but they're like two parallel lines, no matter how close together they are they will never intersect. Hopefully they're not as straight as they seem.

The roof scene was beautiful. I adore how you write all of these characters.

I have enjoyed this so much! One of my favorite movies blended so beautifully with one of my favorite shows, they were still Jim & Pam in your world while completely drawing me back to sweet moments with Harry & Sally.

I feel a bit sad that's it's over, I like all of these characters so much. Guess I'll just have to go back to chapter one and begin again!

This was sweetness wrapped in melancholy and I ate it up. Each small interaction is a tiny treasure to Jim and you capture that feeling beautifully & marry it to the song. Pam, psst, wake up.

This was another great chapter, mixing laughs and heavy issues to keep me invested in the progress (or lack there of) of each couple.

Each chapter fleshes out the relationships and the strengths and weaknesses of each pair are becoming more in focus.

Mark & Isabel may seem the furthest apart or to have the most serious issues but it feels that they are the closest to a breakthrough because they are allowing their emotions to surface.

Jam, on the other hand, is still not addressing their actual issues which will continue to grow until they're too heavy for the relationship to bear. I have every confidence that won't happen. I mean I'm pretty sure. Jim! Lose the freaking phone.

Cannot wait for the next installment! I need more Jam, Mizzy, and Dwangela!

So much to love in this chapter! Pam's willingness to help Dwight is all you need to know about who she is. Pam's sadness that once again Jim was choosing something over her (I've lost count how many times it has been) by sharing a float with Mark was heartbreaking. He's aware she's upset but hey my phone is wrecked, getting Dwight back is at the top of the list. Isabel & Pam should make Andy's dream come true, kick their husband's to the curb and ride off into the sunset.

I kid, I am only able to deal with all of the angst because I have faith in a happy JAM ending but Jim is digging that hole mighty deep. Pam's justified if she just can't anymore. Adore Dwight here as he continues to defend Pam's honor. Always a fan of the Dwight/Pam friendship. He respects her.

The fact that I'm getting so worked up is a testament to how great this story is!

This was a fun chapter after the angst. The way you've managed to keep everyone in character while dropping them in this AU is impressive.

Great to see some progress with Jim. It's sad and encouraging that he's realizing that he has missed things about Pam and also that he hasn't really been noticing her, seeing her.

Not going to lie, I found myself smiling when Charles picked on Jim. Jim's got work ahead of him before he is totally back in my good graces.

Can't wait for the next update!

Thanks so much! Yeah, I didn't want it be angst all the time (especially as the movie's actually a comedy, lol - but I find it v hard to do Jam with no angst). And a little bit of progress with Jim! He does have work ahead of him though, you're right. I also feel like mean season 9 Philly Jim maybe needed a Charles to calm him down on the show...

Yay! Really looking forward to how this progresses & love it so far. I've seen the movie a few times.

I definitely see Jim & Pam as a couple that are in denial that they've lost their way, believe they're the couple out of the group who doesn't need to work on their relationship.

I can only imagine it must've felt like a slap in the face for Pam to discover Jim is still plugged into his job with the blackberry.

Something that bothered me on the show, was the whole "doing it for the family" excuse, though it may be what Jim believed. If the family is miserable, extra money isn't going to matter unless it helps Jim with alimony and child support. Priorities Jim, priorities.

I positively squealed with happiness when I saw the update. This is one of several unfinished stories that have never left me and seeing a new chapter gives me hope for other surprises.

You really delivered with this update. The tension between Jim & Pam builds deliciously. It's great that, at least for now, they're on the same page.

Still concerned about "heartbreaker", 'playboy" Jim's story the last 10 years. Also, now SK has me wondering about the pool story too. Jim could've gotten her info if he had really wanted to.

I have no idea how you pull all of this action off and not have it seem crazy but I can totally see this playing out.

Is it terrible that each time something spilled on the carpet I was giddy? It's a shame Karen and Jim aren't working out but Karen's making it more difficult and basically torturing everyone, including the rest of her guests.

Just like "the dinner party" Karen seemed to be playing another game than everyone else and it blew up in her face.

Oh and hopefully Karen vomiting on Ryan isn't the worst part of his night. What a jerk!

Incidentally, the carpet was the first thing I thought about when I decided I wanted Karen to have a housewarming disaster. I also thought about having Andy accidentally set fire to the curtains, but I decided that was too far.

Yay new chapter! Samantha is a character I'd love to see again.

As much of a complete and utter fool/tool Ryan is here, he's kind of right, they may want to thank him later. He forced everyone to be honest with themselves and each other by throwing a bomb in the middle of the party.

So many important revelations come out of Pam's ankle injury. Jim learns a bit about how difficult it was for Pam after he left, physically, emotionally and logistically. We get a wonderful glimpse of the changes in Pam's relationship with Dwight and the rest of the office. They had her back when Jim did not.

He was suffering but so was she. It always boggles my mind that he never seemed to consider that.

Way to go FNB! Old Pammy is getting what she wants. Excited for the epilogue but will be sad to see this one end.

 I agree that it's odd that Jim doesn't seem to have realised the trauma Pam would have gone through in the aftermath of her called-off wedding, and his confession and all. And also that Pam didn't give him, at the very least, an in-roads, because it would clearly have been difficult for him to make the first move. But I'm not in charge...  :o)

If I had read the list of elements you had to work in first, I would have thought it would result in a somewhat disjointed story. It would take me at least five! I felt heartbroken for Pam and the way Jim went about turning her heartbreak around was just so...Jim. This was a pleasure to read, it simply, beautifully, flowed.
