I'm turning 30 this year, a single gal in L.A. I really enjoy reading well written fan fiction like that found here on MTT. Jim and Pam are wonderful characters to play with because they have so many flaws, but are still enjoyable and nice people.

Yay! It's aliive! Can I admit that my Dad got very ill over the holidays and was in the ICU for 2 weeks? I seriously used stuff from this story (the taking notes, business cards, checking with the nurses if they needed anything) every day to maintain my sanity. So glad to see another chapter.

Gah, really?  Thank you so much!  I keep saying in review responses that I had a tough time writing that conversation, because I wanted her to be honest yet sort of fumbling (from exhaustion and from the sudden epiphany she's had), and I didn't want it to come off as thought Pam were telling Jim, "Mmkay, so I'm done with Roy -- next!"  LOL.

Wow, this is really tough to read. It is interesting that in "show world" we have no idea how Pam broke up with Roy and what his reaction was. At any rate, I really enjoyed the kitchen moments with Josh & Pam, that was great.

This chapter makes me so proud of Pam. Like, she's so disoriented in her own life, but she keeps moving forward. I am very proud of her and of course Jim for being so faithful and patient. I also really enjoy the decription of Jon's "look" - yeah, my big sis has one of those...nothing gets past her.

Oh wow -- thanks.  :o) I really wanted to write her that way -- as not having all the answers and being completely terrified, but still determined to keep taking steps forward.  You know, I'm not sure where I got the idea of Jon as being uber-perceptive, only that I've seen the look I described him having (though I couldn't tell you who in my life gives it to me, LOL).

Hee - would you believe that I actually did that once?  Swear to god -- it's a long story, but when I was in college, I briefly dated my R.A.  Only at first I was trying to resist him because -- oh hell, I can't remember why.  Anyway, we were sitting on his couch one night, and he got this look like he was about to kiss me, so I just blurted, "Oatmeal!"

You are indeed correct that the steam content is WAY up - well done!! The bar hallway kiss? Extremely, vividly hot. I also love how they are so similar in their thought processes, with the escape route and also in coming to terms with the fact that they are really together.

I really like this fic and great chap, but OMG. Pam should have said during her confession that Aidan was NOT her bf. They would still have plenty of obstacles, but I don't like it when they lie to each other. Being deliberately false is different than just being too shy/scared to do something.

I love Aidan's description's of Jim's reaction to him - sharp instrument indeed!
