I read them all so far in one sitting, and I love this version of past events. It's really nice to have Pam and Toby able to confide in each other, without any of the weird sexual tension they could potentially have. I also think you've done a great job with the conflicting feelings in Jim, Pam, and Karen, and while you haven't had much Michael so far, what you've shown of him has been pitch perfect!

Ooh, great update! I love the Pam/Toby stuff at his house, that they can recover from an awkward kiss so quickly because they're such good friends now, and haha - Michael's pep talk about Carols and Jans and becoming men... classic!

Ooh, see, it's good that you were "behind schedule" because you got to include the art contest storyline, and I love what you did with it! Those simple emails, such few words saying so much. Lovely. But I do also love that you had Jim acknowledging that he feels like he needs Karen - so often I see him portrayed as not really caring but you showed so believably *why* he's with her.

9 I'm incredibly slow and it took me till the last ring to figure out how the hell "five golden rings" were being factored into this, heh. Pam was a little evil, leaving him hanging like that! But very much looking forward to the results now that he's got her face to face again...

HA! There were a few of these chapters I knew from the get go - and this was one of them. I always knew the 5 rings would be actual sounds - not bands of gold. Sasha sort of sneaked in - and the goose thing? Totally took on a life of it's own. But Jim frantically chasing after her was always the goal.

A long time ago a visited a friend and spent some time with her little girl. A week later she called me up hysterically laughing to tell me that in the middle of dinner - out of the blue - her daughter looked at her and said, "I love Krissy. Can she come over tomorrow?"
And so - in this chapter - I decided Sasha feels the same way about Pam. :)
8 Oh, wow, I can't imagine how embarassing it would be to have your kids actually witness the "courtship" phase, but they seem to be handling it well. This was very cute, and I absolutely adore the egg analogy.
