Ooh, this just gets more and more interesting! I love how she played off their meeting at Chili's so coolly, but it's understandable that the truth had to come out. Let's hope she finds a way to convince him that's bigger than Tommy. This is sad, but I really don't blame him for being skeptical!

Nice to see a glimpse of Jim's perspective on all this - knowing that she's probably just crazy (as most normal people would think) but still feeling an inexplicable connection. And it all comes rushing back! The yogurt lid makes everything fall into place for him once again ;)

I'm also beginning to suspect that this whole thing came about because of Jim making some sort of wish that he'd never met Pam, to spare himself the heartbreak/memories, but I've been known to be very off the mark when I try to come up with theories for complicated stories/situations.

Okay, I am loving this so much - their utter confusion about who they really are and what's fiction and what's real and where there's overlap and what they have to share with the world, and I love the fact that they could just talk about the kissing, and it's so real - not that deep and emotional, just "yeah, that was good, that was hot" which seems more true to them and their inability to talk about how they're really feeling on a meaningful level for long periods of time ;) ... was that the longest run on sentence ever?

Good to see Jim giving Pam the space she needs to figure things out, and Pam actually using that time and "keeping on swimming" ;) - very mature of both of them. And I love the scene with Roy, very subtle, very natural, and I think it was very needed - glad to see Pam facing the consequences of her actions. Loving this story, keep it up! :)

NOW COMPLETE!!!

"Jim, why don't you tell Pam how you really feel?"

Jim and Pam deal with the stuff that comes with being on a hit show...talk shows, radio call-ins, and press junkets. They say there's no such thing as bad publicity, but is that really the case? Watch as Jim and Pam deal with being in the public eye and under the thumb of manipulative network producers. The story is told through interviews, transcripts, web pages and photos.

Great chapter - I feel bad for Jim, and Roy's revelation that Pam must really love him if she sticks with him had to be hard for Jim to hear, but you also managed to make Roy really sympathetic in that little heart to heart.

Author's Response:

I’m so glad to hear that Roy came across as sympathetic. He and Jim are never going to BFFs, but I think on a guy-level they understand each other. Thanks so much for your review.

Oh, that was a great interview! I love when he turned it around on her - made it about her confessions. I'm also wondering if Roy had anything to say about Pam's made up story about them briefly dating, and the reason such a story was needed!

Author's Response: Roy doesn't know anything about the story yet. Remember, he's in Vegas for the celebrity Poker tournament!  All will be revealed to him eventually, though. Thanks for your review. It's greatly appreciated.

Eeee! The whole time he was saying all that wonderful stuff, I was thinking "way better than fireworks!" and then Pam took the words right out of my mouth. I think this is what it's going to have to be like when they finally do get engaged on the show, not about the perfect moment, not about putting on a show, but about sharing real feeling. This was heartwarming :)

Summary: Yeah, we didn't get our proposal, and I was as upset as anyone else, but think about how bad it could've gone. Here are a few examples. These are meant to be as horrifying as possible, but hopefully in a fun way.

Hahaha - I think if this happened the entire East coast would errupt in cries of, "Oh, COME ON!" so loud that it would be heard from the West coast. And the last chapter - hee, I love that Andy has not nearly the sense of perfect timing Jim has and thinks it would be A-OK to carry on with his proposal after an interruption like that, if only he could find his potential fiance!

Summary: This is just a silly post-finale story based on an exaggeration of the premise that The Office is becoming just like a soap opera.  Yeah, that is not an accusation that should be thrown around lightly.  ;)

Ha! This is awesome so far. I don't think I would even consider this badfic - like the plots are insanely ridiculous, but the writing and dialog is awesome and funny, and totally in character for how I'd see them acting if these ridiculous events did actually happen - I've cracked up at all of Michael's talking heads, and I love Creed's line about his coma. And I love how people keep "mysteriously" falling into comas every time Dwight and Angela are not so discreet ;) And, Toby! Hee!

Oh, this was just lovely. I think you've beautifully captured the combined relief and desperation they'd be feeling after seeing each other after an unusually long amount of time spent apart. And the little taste of Pam's new growth and what she's been doing in her classes is wonderful, too.

Author's Response: So pleased you thought this captured that feeling - and I hoped this would give a sense of Pam just beginning to stretch and feel a bit more sure of herself in her work. Thanks, Semby - much appreciated!

This was so lovely. It's typical of Toby that he barely lasted a week, but I'm glad that the main reason for coming back was his daughter, because that was my big concern after the finale. Of course, the fact that he's Toby and everyone looks at him a certain way, of course he comes off as the pathetic guy who couldn't cut it in Costa Rica, and he doesn't have the motivation to say, "Actually, I just realized I had to be close to Sasha." And it's so realistic that he seems to be living in regret, more guilt and regret than is necessary for his actions, poor guy. But OMG Kelly/Toby in a closet, WOO! ;)

Author's Response: Thank you. I was concerned that they didn\'t mention his daughter either. And I ship Kelly and Toby. I don\'t know why, but I just do.

I hadn't been reading your episodes before now, but I've just read them all in a row, so I'll just say in one mass review here: these are great! They're so hilarious and clever and definitely feel like the show. I also really love the Natalie character and her friendship with Jim - which is especially well done of you, because I'm normally not fond of original fic characters! - it's made me miss Pam a little less. And I'm looking forward to the Dundies!

Aw, this was a great one! The proposal was so sweet and so true to them - I think that's how it's actually going to happen on the show - Jim has to just give up the idea of the "perfect" moment. And OMG Dwight/Angela exposed! That was careless of them. And poor Andy. But that was awesome!

Oh, this was awesome. I love that Kelly is so happy to be going and she's all, "I'm going to look HOT and rub it in his FACE" and then she gets there and is actually affected by his situation and concerned. And I love Ryan in this, so defeated, with hardly any fight left in him. I pretty much hated Ryan throughout season 4, but even I find it difficult to picture him torn down like this, living this life. Makes me think of season 2 Ryan and all the potential he had!

Author's Response:

Yes.  I won't lie and say that I loved Ryan in S4, because I didn't.  The other day I was watching some old S2 episodes and I realized that I really missed THAT Ryan.  He was a bit snarky, and he could be a jerk occasionally, but you knew that underneath he really wasn't a bad guy.  Also, watching him put up w/ all of Michael's antics in S2 makes you really feel for the guy.  Anyway, I think that he felt really pressured to do a good job when he was promoted and from there he just went crazy.  Kind of like when super sheltered teenagers go to college far away and spend their freshman year drinking too much, hehe.

So, bottom line, I know what you mean about the potential Ryan had.  Maybe they'll redeem him a bit down the road.  Thanks for reading and reviewing, Semby.  I'm glad you enjoyed it.

Yay for Angela joining in on pranking Dwight! And I can't say I think Jim admitting his feelings about Dunder Mifflin and his future to Michael is the best idea when he doesn't have another job lined up yet and doesn't know how long he'll have to stick around, but I could see how admitting it might be a way to push him to actually make the changes.

Author's Response: Oh, poor Jim. He\'s still trying to figure out what he wants to do, but yes, I also believe him actually saying it will give him the extra initiative to actually pursue his career goals, and not just sit around, waiting for something to happen. :) Thank you for the review, Semby! I have a photo of the post-it prank that Angela joined in on in the last chapter. :)
