No offense, but Pam kissing Jim when he's not done rinsing his mouth & the foam was kinda gross. But everything else after that was all kind of cute :o) And I agree...they do have more...er...important things to do. ::whisper:: Like each other :D Heee....

Author's Response: I kinda agree with you! I was trying to come up with something else, and playing around with different things, but I couldn\'t! Now that you say that though, I think I\'m going to try again. Anyways, thanks for the comment!! :)

Wow, Dwangie! You're just super inspired lately, aren't you? I'm glad you found time for some fluff. Them playing Truth or Dare, talking about past and future and just being so close to each other....so cute and sweet! Looking forward to more.

Author's Response: Yes, I have been super inspired! And you\'ve been super sweet to leave me such nice comments! Thank you very much!! A new addition to the chapter will probably come tonight!

This is me after reading your story ---> ::puddle::

So utterly sweet and heartwarming. I've always like reading fics about Jim's thoughts (and Pam's too) and this...about how crazy he is about Pam, how unbelievable it is to him that she's having HIS baby...this was so perfect. And I smile reading this part: "You are beautiful. Even with that teeny bit of drool at the side of your mouth as you sleep." ::sigh::

Great job! Also, wouldn't it be great if there's a deleted scene of something like this? Pam falling asleep at her desk while Jim's smiling and looking on. ::swoon::

Author's Response:

Oh, thank you for the kind comments, and for pointing out what you liked. I really appreciate it! I know I almost fell asleep at work several times when I was pregnant, so I could totally see that as a scene on the show! I hope they give us some good moments like this, but if not- that's what fic is for, I guess! Thanks again!

First off, thanks for posting this story here since I'm not on LJ so I would've missed this little gem.

Second...this story was really good. It's such a smart idea to have both of them coming in the next day and no one else showed up. You captured exactly what I'd always imagined Jim must have felt during and after the basketball game. I really enjoyed the conversation between the two of them, how Pam was trying to get her foot out of her mouth and Jim basically just changed the rule between them.

Of course, the part of less talking and more kissing ;o) I have to be honest...I was expecting something similar to the 2nd chapter of the your very good "Spice" but alas...it didn't happen. And it was actually more realistic (and still just as hot) because as much as they might've want each other, Pam still needed to deal w/ the Roy issue first.

I really enjoyed this story. Great job!

Wow! This was such a brilliant way of bringing the two of them together. The fact that they were just pretending in front of the cameras all these years was such a great twist. When I started reading it, I kept wondering if perhaps Pam was dreaming. But as I kept reading and got to the part where they were asked to pretend they weren't in love...the lightbulb finally went on in my head!

You also did a nice job in capturing the voices of Jim and Pam. I especially loved the fact that you used that part from The Pilot in the story because it makes so much sense!

I liked this story a lot. Great job!

Author's Response: Wow! thank you for the kind review. No, I wouldn\'t pull the rug out from under you like that and have it be a dream. It is very real (in my head anyway). Glad you liked the premise and that the incorporation of the episode worked well. Thanks again! :)

Phew! So glad the floor didn't make things difficult between them. I used to eat Lucky Charms' marshmallow too like Jim and now I eat Special "K" (blueberries) like Pam! I gotta stop finding similarities between these 'fictional' characters & myself :D

This chapter was really great! It's obvious that the house holds special memories for Jim and not all of those memories would be good. Jim's story was very plausible since I think sometimes kids internalize stuff like that. I really liked it because it's another glimpse into Jim's childhood. Great job!

Author's Response: Thank you bkwrm, I think there is much for Pam to learn about Jim by living in the same house he grew up in, both good and bad. I love trying to \"figure out\" the character of Jim Halpert. I\'m glad you found the story plausable - that\'s what I was aiming for. And the little marshmallows in Lucky Charms rock. Thanks for reading and reviewing.

I've only heard this song by Ella Fitzgerald. Now I must find the Billie Holliday's version.

On to the story, I really liked reading this: the idea that Jim and Pam have 'off-days' like they once mentioned in Baby Shower. After the day that Pam had at the office, the insults she had to put up with, it's not surprising that a little tidbit like that from Michael made her "shrill" to Jim. What I especially liked was the fact you made Jim calm and understanding instead of bristling at the fact Pam was being irrational.

I'm nervous about the open window, all of Jim's hard work!! I guess you already had Pam's blow up, now it's on to Jim? Also, I'm super curious about this emotional event from Jim's past.

Great job! Looking forward to the next chapter.

Author's Response: Thanks so much bkwrm, I appreciate your comments! Yes, the open window may pose a problem, but will Jim Halpert actually blow up? And you\'ll just have to wait and see about the other \"event\". BTW, I looked for the Billie Holliday version on youtube to link it, but couldn\'t find one. I know I\'ve heard her sing it - I\'ll look through my CDs and add the reference to the story when I find it. Nothing wrong with Ella\'s version though.

Also, I love the fact that Jim's & Pam's kid is a boy. I think this is the first fic I've read where it is so. Looking forward to more

Also, thank you for the medical glossary (you're very thorough!) so that I don't have to google the stuff I don't understand.

really enjoyed this story! It never occurred to me that Jim & Pam might invite Roy to their wedding but given how the last time that each of them saw Roy, it ended on a good note and like you wrote, a peace offering. My favorite part was the part about Roy feeling smug about his last meeting with Jim because when that was what I thought when I watched "Crime Aid". Great job!

My favorite part was their morning-after when he brushed her hair and the last section. It made my throat tightened because it's just Jim and Pam after everything they'd been through. It's simply just them.

Excellent job!

Excellent job!

jazzfan, you're not making it any easier until the important date in October! Such a happy story. It's so funny how everyone knew about Pam's pregnancy except for Michael! And Grandma Grace (love this name!) sounds like someone I would like to spend a day with, just shooting the breeze.

Jim & Pam feeding each other, the wedding night, the banter between them. Loved it! I was a little slow about the Bluefin thing but the lightbulb finally went on :D You can never have too much Tuna, especially Big Tuna ;o) Heeee......

Thank you so much for this.

Author's Response: bkwrm, do you suppose all this writing helps us wait until Oct? I'm not one to write "happy" but this just wouldn't go away in my head. I love weddings anyway. Trogdor, thank you so, so much for writing this wonderful story. Even though I know how happy Jim and Pam are right now (with a wedding and a baby on the way), this story almost made me wish that Phyllis' Wedding happened the way it did in your story.

You did an excellent job in writing their perspectives. From Pam wanting to be happy for Jim but just couldn't because she didn't have her friend Jim anymore to Jim wanting to put distance between him & Pam but he just can't. I loved how he went after her and, thanks to Dwight, they finally became honest with one another. The happy ending was a bonus.

Thank you once again for this!

Sorry...I'm back to gush some more :D I read it a couple more times and I just can't get over how great this story is. The first chapter absolutely crushed me. The way Pam thought she was invisible, how she felt everything had gone wrong but all she wanted was her friend Jim, especially this part, "If I could have my friend sometimes, I think I could be ok, too." My throat tightened throughout that chapter and the second one.

Then I cautiously cheered when Jim went after Pam because that's progress from the way they tiptoed around each other. But when I reached the third chapter and thought they were just going to "pretend" this away, I almost stopped since I don't usually like angst. And I'm so glad I didn't because the fourth chapter was just wonderful. Absolutely wonderful and stupendous and great.

Oh yeah, have I mentioned how much I loved this story? Because I really, really do.

*sigh* I'll stop rambling now.

Thinking about the episode when Pam first mentioned that she wanted a house with a terrace to now, when they're expecting and getting ready for the wedding...and then read this story by you, I'm feeling pretty sentimental right now over these two.
