that was beautiful, so chock-full of reality, and jim had some great lines in there. the supporting characters are incredible! great job, FlonkertonChamp!

i'm kind of sad john krasinski is engaged, even though i'm 10 years younger than him i was so sad to read that. then i went to office tally and accidentally looked at a spoiler picture of jim and pam in their wedding attire. and read a blurb about their wedding location the other day.

life is harsh when you see/read things you don't want to know. but this story is amazing to me every time i read it.

oh my god, how did i miss all these chapters??? i think i have two or three to catch up on, but they're really good so far! i feel so out of the loop, sorry to hear about your dad and sister in the hospital, i'm glad to hear they're okay though, what happened? (i don't mean to pry, you don't have to say if you don't want to). anyway, looking forward to reading! nice work her f-champ!

Author's Response: dad and sister... on the 26th, my sister had brain surgery (she has a brain disorder, so it's something that's become fairly routine), and then on the 28th my dad had part of his colon removed. he had a large pre-cancerous polyp, but the pathology report from the surgery came back negative for cancer, so yay! the scheduling snafu came from my dad's surgery being scheduled in advance, but my sister's was scheduled just 5 days in advance.

wow. that's a lot to happen in one week. very sorry to hear about your sister's brain disorder, that must have been really hard at first, but it's good to hear that you can feel it's a routine thing now. and yay, you're dad doesn't have cancer! that's a lot to deal with, yet you continue to please all of us MTT readers. you're amazing, just deal with it :)

this was the best chapter so far, i loved the kangaroo care, and when pam whistled at jim. NICE (kevin style, uh duh!)

sorry i didn't see this sooner, i've been busy with school, and i guess i thought i'd read the most recent chapter. can't wait for more!

oh my goodness, that was adorable. so nice to see that jim and pam still have their perfect chemistry even after J.D. is born. not that i'm saying they wouldn't - but sometimes (or at least i'd assume - because i don't have kids) parents are so attached at birth and constantly talk about their kids when they're away from them. if that makes any sense. well at least it did in my head.

sorry this review doesn't make any sense, i loved this chapter if that wasn't clear to you! i was beginning to wonder how you knew so much about babies and preemies. if this isn't too personal - do you have any kids or know someone who had a preemie. and where do you get all the hospital pictures? i really appreciate you adding them to the chapters so we can read descriptions along with seeing visuals.

great job - i can't wait to read more chapters - the welcoming home party should be fun to read!

Author's Response: the pictures of babies i got from google. the pictures of different products i got from babiesrus.com. i don't have kids, but i have 8 nieces and nephews. my niece was a preemie, but at 36 weeks, so she wasn't in the NICU. she was tiny, 4lb 13 oz, but healthy. her younger brothers were also preemies, at 36 weeks, but since they were twins, they were smaller and spent a week in the NICU. my friend had her twins at 34 weeks due to a placental abruption, but had no complications, and the babies were 5 lbs each. they spent 2 weeks in the NICU. and now they're 10 months old and almost 30 lbs each. mama's milk is doing them good. :o)

as for my knowledge on babies & preemies... i'm a nerd when it comes to health. i watch a lot of discovery health channel. anatomy & physiology fascinates me. i've also been babysitting for over 10 years, so i did research on babies. i also like to research things so i can make recommendations at the store.

i'm actually not going to be writing the welcome home party... i'm going to go straight from J.D. coming home to the epilogue. so 3 more chapters to go. one of them involves some smut... *cough*

ok, it's more fluff than smut, but whatev.

anyway, so sweet - does the pink crib mean a little girl baby for the family??? i hope so? maybe you could continue with a little girl in the jim/pam/j.d./_____ baby girl family. that would be awesome. a erntedankfest miracle.

sorry for such a terrible final review for an awesome story, i'm just at a loss for words of how great this story was. it's amazing how you went from such chaos and nightmare-ish scenes to happy fluffity ficettes such as these few ending chapters.

you probably thought i disappeared, i have, since the malware thing has been going on. the last time i was on MTT was Thanksgiving itself! so long ago! i just thought for old times' sake and to see if it was working again i would come here and i was shocked to find it up and running again. YYAAAAYYYYYY!!!!!

but anyway, nice job with the, what did you call it? (scrolls up and checks) Flut. it was fantastic. and perfectly fluffy, and smutty and just wonderfully amazing. great work and i'm off to read the next chapter.
and then study for spanish semi-finals! ahhh.

by the way, 12/10 for awesomeness in the chapter, and for being the best first story after being gone for 20+ days ever.

nice chapter, sorry i didn't review on the last one, i'll be honest i didn't like it nearly as much as this one. i look forward to seeing how jim's day went - why was he not at work though? you're probably taking a creative license and coming up with your own plot - duh!

wow! i read this last night, and this morning, and am in love with the story. i think you said this was a one-shot, but PLEASE KEEP GOING! i absolutely loved this, and how it was like a whole story, instead of just a little scene or something like that. very well done.

aww, poor pam. i loved the perspective you wrote this in, dwangie, very realistic for the setting and timeframe. i'm not really sure if i understand the ending, but let me try to say what i thought, and let me know if i'm wrong:

pam goes to see jim in connecticut, maybe to get some closure, also to see him, explain about roy, and just try to get him back in general. jim seems ready to forgive her, and all would have gone well (i think) if karen hadn't been there. i think if karen hadn't shown she was there, than it would've been, easier for pam and she wouldn't have felt like she was intruding in jim's new life, and it would've ended differently. preferably pam staying in connecticut for the weekend to catch up. but it didn't.

is that right, i'm sorry to sort of counter-argue with what you wrote, i did like it, i'm just trying to understand your plot.

Author's Response: that's exactly right! he kisses her, and maybe a few more words are exchanged, but she goes home again, back to scranton, and that's how it ends, her making that list in her home. hopefully though, which we do not know, jim will end his relationship with karen and come home to pam. but i obviously didnt write that and i'm not going to - i want to leave it open, so it could end any way. but yes, you got it right, sorry for the confusion! i'm glad you enjoyed it, though, and i really, really appreciate your feedback!! thank you!
