no problem, and thanks for explaining it. i don't think the story is confusing to most people, because the piece is pretty straight forward, it's just the conclusion, like you said is very open, so i was trying to figure out what you as the author wanted people to take from it. (sorry, very long sentence)
so, yeah, great job, and i'm glad we're both thinking the same thing now. can't wait for whatever you come up with next!

aww, so cute. i think this is the first story i've ever read set from jim's parents pov, i like it. though i must admit i thought it was michael scott being referred to at the beginning! anyway, this is very well written, i can tell that this is an older person, or one from a older time period, great job with that, and i can't wait for more chapters! it would be great if they were a little longer too!

hey, yay to you for writing a multi-chapter story, i love it, taking the plunge. as for the content, i'm not so crazy about this chapter, i found it to be very similar to the episode with to added pieces, but i will assume that it was just an introduction to the story. i look forward to continuing to read!

Yes the first chapter was an intro, but as a warning, the story is pretty much all of the action of casino night, with Jim's thought process thrown in. Quite frankly, I don't think this is all that good of writing on my part,(I prefer 55 word fics) so if you find anything you like in it, I'll be thrilled :)

whew. *wipes sweat off brow*, yeah, i didn't really like this story all that much. i do however, like and truly appreciate how nicely edited it was, and the thoughts seemed really realistic. i guess i just didn't like the idea of the story in general. i must say though, to end on a happier note, i love your other work!

wow! that was really good. i can understand why you might have been hesitant to post this, i mean, it's really different from what most of MTT's content is usually about. nonetheless, it was delightful to read, i like the snippets from 'the real office' and what you came up with using your creative license. also, very well done. anyway, i'll read chapter 2 now - and make sure to keep posting. i love reading something different, yet vaguely familiar every once in a while. it's daring, and kind of like trying something new each day.

oh wow, this has been one of the best stories i've read here at MTT. great job beer me five! i think i'll keep this short, but i'm thinking that jim died. i wanted him to live throughout the whole story, but reading this chapter, and seeing how everything was wrapped up so nicely - it just made sense, it was his time to go.
great job, you've written a masterpiece, congratulations! i can't wait to see what else you come up with.
and one last thing, usually when i finish a story i feel really sad, sometimes mad at the author for not continuing any further, but i think this actually had a very satisfying ending, even though we didn't see the result. great job with this!

lol. i don't think i fully understood this one, who was it about? i loved jim putting ryan in the closet- hilarious! if you haven't seen it already, check out the third deleted scene from the latest episode, it's all about the scrantonites (just made that up) being scared of jim, even angela and phyllis! it's great.
