This was great.  Some favorite lines:

"Grilled Cheese is terribly jealous of all the attention Scrambled Eggs gets."

"It was five pages long. Jim filled the entire thing out in great detail."

Plus Karen's line about throwing something.

Hurray for Jim and Pam figuring out how to be together.  Now, they need to figure it out on the show.  ASAP.

Dwight is so good in this; you really have him down.  I can just see him saying these things.  Jim's interaction with Dwight is so perfect as well.

I love Jim kissing Pam while walking her backwards toward the bedroom.  I just had the irreverent thought that the bedroom could be at the front of the house and he didn't notice the door, and he walked her to the linen closet.  That would change the mood like... sneezing in hot chocolate, I guess (or am I mixing up fanfics?).  Desperately gasping out a word or two between kisses was... niiice.  I actually think Jim would have had Pam's address memorized and would have found it out even when he was in Stamford.  And would have know exactly where it was from driving by at least once.  It's only human nature.  (Or... just me.)

Ghost reference.  Just had to make sure you knew I got it.  I'm totally one of the cool kids.  Or, well, one of the old people who saw that in the theater.  When it came out.

Look forward to the epilogue!

"She knows that he’s aware of what he’s doing to her."  Wow.   That's some sentence!!!

Good things come to those who wait, and this chapter is a good thing!  When you get to the next one, I'll remind myself of where we are (no hardship there!) and then go forward.

I'm really enjoying the post-Cocktails fanfic in general, and this is certainly one of my favorites!

Author's Response: Thanks Kev! I'm sad because this is very soon going to be AU... Not that I don't want a new episode!

I'm enjoying this.  I love Jim's inner voice trying to determine whether she had feelings, has feelings, etc. as well as all of his thoughts about Pam's non-answers.

I'm glad there's more coming.  And, hey, Karen, just walk home and leave Jim and Pam to it!  Two blocks.  Good exercise.  Buh-bye.

Author's Response: Ha! That's the nice thing about Karen living only two blocks away, isn't it? I'm glad you liked Jim's POV. He's probably the toughest for me to write, because I just have trouble writing from a male perspective. At one point I toyed with doing a Roy chapter but I thought it would come off as too caveman-ish. (Ug. Pam mine. Jim jerk. Who other girl on stoop? Hungry. Jet skis. etc, etc...)

I re-read the whole story (all chapters) and read this twice.  I am so enjoying this story.

I loved this whole thing (it made me giggle like Kevin):

“Cool,” Jim says, mock-casually.  His eyes light up like a great idea just occurred to him.  “Hey, maybe you could break your other hand doing it and look even smarter.”

And at the end, Roy said JUST the thing to get Jim and Pam together.  Ha ha ha ha.  (I am so laughing at Roy right now!)

Thanks for all this.

Author's Response: Thanks! I love writing dialogue between Jim and Roy, because it's so easy for Jim to make Roy look like an idiot. Roy was just super fun in this chapter :)

Aaah!  When will we see the next chapter?

I am really enjoying all the post-Cocktails stories.    I love here when Roy figures out there were 2 kisses.  And we thought he was angry before!

And these lines?: “She was your fiancée, you fucking moron!” Jim snarls. “Not that you ever remembered it then either.” and "You were a shitty fiancé. It was only a matter of time before she left your sorry ass."  Love that.

Love that Jim reminded Roy that Pam was a fiancée instead of "just" a girlfriend.  It was only going to make Roy madder, AND inform Karen of something she hadn't known, but Jim has just had enough.

Sadly, I don't think Pam would have dumped Roy w/o the Casino Night kiss, but I can see how Jim might have thought it.  I think Pam probably couldn't marry Roy when all she could think about was kissing Jim (and how she wanted more...).

Anyway, good job and looking forward to more.  Are long reviews okay?  I haven't been reviewing long, so I don't know if there are rules.

Author's Response:

Thank you so much! Long reviews are more than okay. They're fantastic. I live for them!

About the 2 kisses- after Cocktails I was like, "Oh god. What will he do if he ever finds out about the Dundies?" Heh. I'm glad that you liked angry!Jim. I love it when he comes out to play. Especially when his anger is directed at Roy, who truly deserves it. And I agree with you about Pam. She probably would have let herself fall into an unhappy marriage without Casino Night, but Jim definitely doesn't get that yet. No worries. I'll get him there :)

As for when we'll see the next chapter... I just wrong a page of Pam/Roy dialogue and a page of Jim/Karen dialogue but I'm not sure yet how I want to put everything all together so... at least a few days. Sorry!

Author's Response: And by "wrong" I mean wrote. Wow. Hope that's not a Freudian slip of some kind...

Oh my gosh.  This is very exciting.  I would actually like to be there, because I would totally have Jim's back.  Well, maybe I'd run into the apartment and shove furniture against the door, (making sure Jim came in also) and then call the police.

I  am anxiously awaiting more.  I like your details, like the disgust Michael shows when Jim suggests going to Dwight.

Thanks for this.

Author's Response: Ha! Definitely make sure that Jim is inside first. Otherwise--badness. I'm glad it's exciting! I'm writing chapter 2 right now and I'm really trying to maintain the suspense.

Reviewer: Too Late Kev Signed

Wow.  Another powerful chapter.  The discussion and breakup between Jim and Karen is crazy (in a good way), especially Karen realizing HOW Jim must have told Pam his feelings, and realizing that she's going to have to break this off.

Jim is just shell-shocked over all this!  I love when Jim realizes he can touch Pam, and Pam saying "you have a little blood".

I greatly appreciate you MTT authors!   The imaginations you have, and then you write it all down for the rest of us to enjoy!  Thanks so much.

You didn't have this marked for complete, so I'm hoping for more...?

Author's Response:

Awww, thanks Kev! This is definitely not complete. No worries. I have three more essays due this week (will school never end?) But by Friday I'll be able to start chapter six.

I'm sooo glad that you liked the "you have a little blood" part. It made me giggle to write :)

I love stories about Jim and/or Pam seeing tape.  All they'd have to see is some youtube videos to get a clue, right???

Thanks for this.

Author's Response: I didn't want this story to go on forever, and I'm okay with Jim remaining ignorant about the text message. We fanfic writers have to leave SOME territory for Greg Daniels and company to explore! :D Thanks for reviewing!

In the 2nd sentence"say" should be "saying".

Oh, how stressful when you first say those 3 little words.  Will they say it back?  A few months IS pretty early when you're not sure what the other person's thinking.  Especially when you think they might be thinking about --- Pam!

I like how Jim changes to "I really like you too..."  Karen, he's just not that into you.   I also like that she immediately challenges him on it - "what does that even mean Jim?"  I could definitely see her doing that.

Author's Response: Thanks , I missed that when I was going over it and fixed. Glad you like it .

Dundundun!!!

I actually think Pam would be unlikely to drop by with something he forgot.  However, if she's looking for an EXCUSE to drop by, then that one is excellent.

What will happen next?  And hey, number of words, no biggie. (TWSS?  Hope not.)

Yes, there is demand.  Dish it out; we can take it.  My favorite parts? "...she was up against a wall.  Roy was not on her mind." and Jim's thought "sorry if you misinterpreted..."

I do think that if/when these two actually hook up, there would be some pretty serious fireworks in the bedroom!  Too bad we won't see them.  But that's one of the many things to enjoy about fanfic.

Thanks ever so much for this.

I really enjoyed this.  I continue to think back a chapter or two to the (thought not said) line "I'm sorry you misinterpreted our night of fucking" (probably loosely quoted).  Cracks me up.

I loved Jim's little speech to Roy.  "Your call man."  Perfect.

Thanks for this.

I enjoyed this.  Let's see...: Ryan's a bad stalker (can't he do anything right?); Kelly recognizes Ryan's sneeze; you slipped in that Jim broke up with Karen AND that Karen and Ryan made out.  Yeah, those are my favorite parts.

But, I heard that Ryan and Karen made out AND had sex (/Kevin).  (Why can't I hear the phrase "made out" without thinking "AND had sex"?  I am channelling Kevin.)

Thanks for this.
