Sleepover by dollsome Rated: K [Reviews - 0]
Summary: Michael decides to have a sleepover at the office. Shenanigans ensue.
Recommended by: darjeelingandcoke
Recommender's comments: This is script-fic set between Business Trip and the MSPC arc, and it's absolutely brilliant. Could 100% be an unproduced episode - everyone's voices are dead on.

Not particularly JAM-focused, but there are some very sweet JAM moments I would've loved to see onscreen... including some conversations we really didn't see enough of about Jim's goals besides being with Pam and Pam's feelings about being back at DM.

Symmetry or Something by dollsome Rated: K [Reviews - 0]
Summary: Ryan does a number on Kelly's emotional well being, again. This time, Kelly finds a new solution.
Recommended by: darjeelingandcoke
Recommender's comments: This is Kelly/Erin. Very well-written, and a great one if you love the rest of the ensemble too *and* were mildly horrified at the romantic drama the writers put these two through in later seasons. Or if you just feel like Ryan never quite got the karmic punishment he deserved and Kelly deserved better. (There is some interesting Kelly perspective on JAM in there too though.)

white gloves by noblealice Rated: K [Reviews - 0]
Summary: It was his first time seeing where she lived now and if he had thought longer about it, he might have felt guilty by the slight thrill it gave him. Instead, his mind was only on the present moment/prank/joke and no-one else’s feelings, so he only felt a rush of pride as his long legs bounded up the stairs.

Recommender's comments: Christmas 2006, written pre-Benihana Christmas. In which Jim falls back into old patterns with Pam and struggles to find his footing with Karen. A quite insightful look at Jim's inner monologue that December.

Summary: Jim and Karen discover that The Sound of Music just isn't quite as cheerful when you're a grown-up.

Liner Notes by amazingly_me Rated: K [Reviews - 0]
Summary: When he gets the notes back on the scenes he shot they're pretty typical. Typical anyway, until the end. The cameraman who shot Pam's last talking head in "The Job" gets feedback from his boss.
Recommended by: darjeelingandcoke
Recommender's comments: Reactions from the folks in the room when Jim asked out Pam for the first time. A fun look at behind the scenes of the documentary... and also slots remarkably well into canon for reasons you'll have to read to find out.

Better Man by KindSoberandFullyDressed Rated: K [Reviews - 0]
Summary: Although Pam knows Roy isn't perfect, she also knows that she can't expect anyone better than him to come along. Then one day a new salesman starts at the office. Inspired by Pearl Jam's "Better Man."
Recommended by: darjeelingandcoke
Recommender's comments: A Pam POV stretching from before Jim arrives at Dunder Mifflin to somewhere around Stress Relief, and a lovely little walk through her head - one that also illustrates the parallels and relationship between her failed engagement to Roy and her parents' unhappy marriage.

Summary: “I like talking to you. I LOVE talking to you. You’re the best person I talk to here.” “I’m the only person who you talk to here, Jim.” - jim gets a little drunk cleaning up after a party and pam is stuck in the office taking care of him until he sobers up. sometimes things are cliches for a reason, folks

Not the Type To by lodessa Rated: K [Reviews - 0]
Summary: Roy can see them before he opens the door, as he walks up the stairs. Jim’s leaning in towards Pam and she’s laughing at something he’s just said. She never laughs like that at anything Roy says anymore. When he sees Roy, Jim will straighten up and Pam will smile forcedly. Roy knows how things are. He isn’t as stupid as everyone seems to think.

Summary: "Michael, you can’t just demand that everyone goes to the Poconos this weekend."

Recommender's comments: A combination of BusinessTrip!Fic and Sick!Fic, set in late Season 3. I.E. Michael makes everyone go to the Poconos, Jim gets bronchitis, and Pam offers to take care of him so Karen won't catch it. Flawed, but some solid Season 3 feels and good use of the supporting cast.

Summary: Jim has a secret agenda including Pam, and the Dunder Mifflin cameramen are interested.

Recommender's comments: Jim proposes. Pam says yes. They get married. From the POV of the camera crew that's gotten way too invested in this story. If that intrigues you, read on. Don't Fall in Love with Everyone You See by bayloriffic Rated: K+ [Reviews - 0]
Summary: Kelly’s probably had this discussion about a million times in her life, but she’s so excited that Jim is actually playing along that she doesn’t mind. Plus, she really would like to know his opinion on this. It’s always good to get a guy’s perspective when it comes to romance and dating, even if that guy doesn’t understand the most amazing movie of all time.
Recommended by: darjeelingandcoke
Recommender's comments: Jim/Kelly during the dark days of Season 3 (although it *could* be read as Jim/Kelly friendship if you're insistent on canon compliance), very in character for both of them, featuring a mostly oblivious Karen and world's worst boyfriend Ryan and Jim having a very predictable take on Pretty in Pink.
