it's stories like this that make me hopeful that season 3 will go my way. hehe. even if they have to go through a lot of drama and angst to get there, i firmly believe they'll get there eventually.

I think your last paragraph is your best - it creates a vivid image for the reader. Consider reading back through your story carefully for dropped words, spelling errors, etc. There are several folks here who are happy to serve as beta-readers if you want or need one.
