so good. This will make it even better when Karen is sent packing, which I hope is where this is going.

Hey - this is really good. Keep it up, I'll be reading.

I really like your view on how dynamics change when both people are presumed "safely taken," and how when she doesn't have to pretend that he's not in love with her, she can take his advice, and he can tell her that Roy is wrong for her without seeming selfish about it...

Very well done - i like this a lot! Let's get cracking on the JAM though!!!! I like that they can hang out wi/o their fiances worrying - it's like Dawson's Creek or something!! Keep writing!!!

Nice. I like how Jim starts to get her to think about her relationship with Roy. Does Jim really have a clue yet that his relationship is not too great either? I wish he had said "...and what an ass it is"; I would have liked to see Pam respond to that. (Probably another oh, you're so dead!)
Still reading!

Ooh, very cool. I think this is very true to the Roy we know - making an effort to do what he thinks she wants, but still not quite *getting* her and where she's coming from. And Pam's dislike for July and Jim's knowledge of this and Roy's ignorance, was a great detail.

I'm really enjoying this look at the way things "might have been" and the subtle (and not) ways you show that even with different circumstances, soulmates are soulmates :) And I can't believe that be-yotch cheated on Jim!!!

Ooh. Thanks for the updates about the two couples. This is engaged bliss at its finest. Is bliss the right word?
I have hopes that these couples will both be OVER at some point soon, as 3 out of 4 of the people involved are dissatisfied. Do not dash my hopes against the rocks. The great and powerful Too Late Kev has spoken.
Oh, and Roy? Such a classy dude. All weddings and honeymoons should be good and cheap.

I can't believe it!
I absolutely fantastically utterly painfully unbearably need to tell you that I thought this story was so...*beams the rest of the review telepathically*

Wow. The "And you're still with her why?" is SO perfect. It's just the kind of thing you could say as a joke and then suddenly realize... you mean it seriously.
You've done such a great job making it seem like Jim and Pam are childhood friends. And your last 4 sentences? So good.
(I also sent this telepathically. Please let me know which review reaches you first. Let me know telepathically; I'm testing my powers.)

Hmmm. Art Supplies and Orchids, Toaster Oven and last-minute freebie certificate. Art Supplies and Orchids, Toaster Oven and last-minute freebie certificate. So hard to choose...
I like where you're going with this, or I guess, how you're going with this, because I can't yet be sure of where. (Wow, that's a lot of words.)
By the way, you've really captured the lameness that is Roy!

I love where this is going. That IM conversation was so cute!

"It was as if Pam had magically appeared to relieve Karen of any obligation to join Jim in his more plebian hobbies." Oh, honey, say buh-bye, go back to NYC, and let Pam and Jim find some NEW hobbies.
Enjoying this story!! More is good!!

Love your chapter end notes. This has such a promising beginning, I can't wait to see how you play it out.
Author's Response: I hope I can live up to the promise. I anticipate a real friendship for them, the kind we all wish we had

I like this so far! This is a really interesting start. Can't wait to see where this goes ... how do Jim and Roy get along in this alterate universe? Do Karen and Pam become friends, or is Karen suspicious of Pam? When do Jim and Pam do the wild monkey? Ooooh, so interesting.
Author's Response: It's going to be a bumpy road, but I'll give out one spoiler, one of these relationships isn't lasting very long :)
Date: March 13, 2007 09:15 am Title: Prologue
Wow I LOVE it already.........!!!! MORE...Please.... I can't wait :)
Author's Response: I've gotten the second part of the 'intro' ready. It gives a little more insight as to who they are all as are people
Date: March 13, 2007 09:14 am Title: Prologue
Oooh, I'm looking forward to seeing what happens next. Karen immediately shows a jealous side!
Author's Response: Karen's about to get a lot less jealous then...
