I was wondering how you were going to give Pam & Jim satisfaction without cheating. Well, literal cheating anyway, we know Jim is thinking about Pam every time he is 'with' Karen.
And I think I love Ryan just a little more -- heck, even drunk, he knows the score. “You were trying to get Jim off from across the room,” and “It’s okay, you can say his name.” For some weird reason, I'm glad he's not a dupe in this.
And I wonder what Jim is thinking, having just heard Pam shout out Ryan's name.

This was NOT what I expected to happen in this chapter. IT WAS EVEN BETTER. OH.
She said Ryan's name! Even after he told her she could say Jim's name! Karen/Jim and Ryan/Pam simultaneous sex! I think my head exploded. So, yeah, this was pretty much the hottest thing ever in the history of hot things. FYI.

Dude. Aside from how freaking hot that was, this had to be my favorite part:
The guy that just couldn’t be Jim while Jim was gone and yet was him now that he was back.
That was kind of painful to read as a Jim/Pam fan, yet kind of nice to read as a Pam fan who's just tired of her suffering.
I'm not sure how you can bring it back around to Jim and Pam, but I'm not sure I care at this point. I'm along for the ride :)

Wow. You may have outdone yourself. I'm sort of okay with the Pam/Ryan sex, since Jim was not only condoning, but enjoying... I did not expect that. Now if I were Pam, that conversation in the hallway would have moved right to my room - who needs a damn stand-in? Or 2 stand-ins?
Interesting that Pam said Ryan's name. Again, may not have been my choice, if I were Pam, but very interesting twist. Not sure what i think about this. Very, very sexy, and wonderful tension throughout the chapter. You're starting to make me think JAM won't happen in your story, but more startling is the fact that there was a moment while I was reading that I didn't mind (though that moment passed and I'm waiting impatiently for more Jam action in your story again) Update soon, and keep going. Your bravery really is paying off; this is a phenomena story!

Ok part 2 of the big review. It is totally awesome that Pam holds her own with the scuzzy bartender. And it is funny to me that protective Jim is usually really sexy but somehow such a tool in this story.
Angela and Pam!!!! Actually this hits on something I love about Season 3, I love that without Jim, Pam has really grown so much closer with the office mates. Sure she still pranks them, but you can tell she really cares about them, and vice versa. I think it just accentuates the rift between Jim and Pam and Jim and the rest of the office.
I know we already talked about it, but I love that you have Pam be jealous of Dwangela, truth is that she should be. Her relationships are so messed up and they are so clearly in love. In fact, am I jealous, wait no no, that's just being full from lunch......
The conversation between Ryan and Pam about the movies is all kinds of wonderful! And way to pick two of my desert island - guilty pleasures edition movies. Seriously who doesn't wonder why in all these films the whole world turns to the US, uh not any more. I'll be turning to Japan.......(j/k).
The last part I have to glaze over due to trying to appear busy at my desk, but I think the way that Ryam start using the last names and that infuriates JIM! That's fabulous. Suck on it Halpert.
And the hallway scene. This looks promising. But promise me we'll get to like Jim better before the end, because he's looking less attractive than Roy to me right now.....course roy is also hot. Just hot and scary......

PAM and JIM PLEASE COME OUT OF THE CLOSET! (sorry gratuitous South Park reference, but you put them in the closet). I love the awkward moment between Ryan and Jim in the hallway when we get the first glimpse that Ryan may also be jealous.
I adore the fact that when you bring either Jim or Ryan in the scene, you often don't tell us which it is until later, I love how they're sort of interchangeable to you. It's a very cool technique.
