Ohmygod, this is absurdly addictive and I LOVE IT. Love love love the dynamic you've created here between all these characters--such a great combination of fun, awkward, and hot that we rarely get all combined.
Your characterizations are amazing. Love your fun Karen (yay for a fun Karen/Pam dynamic and for Karen actually having sex...neither happens in fic too often!), your insanely hot flirty Ryan, your at-times-agressive-at-times-uncertain Pam, confused Jim and Michael-ish Michael. All kinds of fantastic. All kinds.
I haven't felt this excited about updates to a story for ages :)

Uhhhhh you WIN. AT EVERYTHING. This is just...so perfect, with the comfort Pam feels with Ryan, and he in his boxers with the upturned collar polo shirt and his BLUE EYES and his delicious sarcasm and I ADORE the Pam/Ryan dynamic because it could (and should) TOTALLY HAPPEN. And this is totally Stamford/ABC Karen and YES YES YES and please send me the next chapter right away pretty pretty please.
So, yeah, I liked this. :)

Oh holy sh*t.
This story is great! Very well written, and I like the idea of Ryan being a marginally nice guy. That Ryan and this Pam certainly make a lot of sense together, but then again, Pam would find that her eyes would be scratched out by Kelly. And I'm just to big a Jammer for it to happen anyway. ;)

Oh, I love this. I can't help but smile all the way through. I enjoy how you capture Pam's friendship with Karen. It's always upsetting when authors forget that they actually like each other. And Ryan is still such a little fratty. Jim's an ass to feel threatened. I am very much enjoying watching this one progress.
Author's Response: I love the Pam/Karen friendship, sooo much. I know its been strained on the show recently (but maybe not since they were friendly in BF), but I see them as getting along, especially when Karen doesn't feel threatened by Pam. Thanks for the comment!

SO HAPPY that you updated. Seriously. Okay, ready?
1) There have been two moments this season that I have really liked Ryan-- first was the Mufasa moment, second was the sombrero moment you mentioned in your A/N
2) Love how long this chapter was. Excellent! Should become the norm :)
3) Interesting how no one is worried about Kelly here except for Jim. Although I think it totally fits that Karen wouldn't care.
4) Fingers in Ryan's hair? *sigh* He does have great hair. Good moment.
5) Jim/Pam dialogue. Fantastic. I see Jammy promise in this fic. Although to be honest, I have nothing against the Pam/Ryan thing you have going. I wouldn't be disappointed with either direction.
I'll try to get you some T&C soon! Just promise me that there is more of this coming :)

1. I love the Mufasa part! I should have added that to the Ryan!love tutorial... "Oh, it would take me about an hour and a half to tell that whole story", 2. I hope to keep the chapters about this length, its seems comfortable and I hate putting out super short chapters, those are such a tease! 3. the Kelly issue may still rear its head, but I think Karen just wants Pam focuses on a guy that's not her guy, hehe 4. Ryan's hair? Love it. 5. There is Jammy promise here, but I won't give too much away... because there's Pam/Ryan promise too ;)

Um... I can't imaging Pam sitting in Ryan's room while he is dressing. Never gonna happen, my friend. And did he have to be buckling his belt when Jim came past? Ugh and double ugh.
Ryan telling Pam that he overheard Jim and Karen having sex was pretty funny, actually. Maybe Pam should come over to Ryan's (PLATONIC only, you evil hobbit!) tonight and overhear Jim and Karen having sex. Yikes!
I enjoyed the conversation between Jim and Pam. My favorite line of the whole chapter was "I think you know that I’m jealous of anyone who gets to touch you like that". You couldn't have Pam say something like: "Anytime you're interested, Jim...", "You name the time and place, I'll be there", or "So what's holding you back?"? Really, is that so hard? (TWSS) I mean, Pam can ruffle Ryan's hair, and watch him dress, and act generally mildly slutty with him, but can't come on to Jim? Harumph.
You and me, Flicka. Cage match. (Of course cage matches work.)
And yeah... I'll await more chapters.

I am dead from this. COMPLETELY DEAD. I've had a thing for Ryan/Pam and the resulting Jim/Pam awkwardness since Branch Closing, so this is pretty much MY DREAM COME TRUE.

Yay you updated! I have to say, Jim and Pam's conversation pool side has got to be one of my favorite exchanges I've ever read on this board. I like a Pam that isn't too withdrawn to say things that may *lead* somewhere.
I must say though - Jim and Karen having sex just makes me cringe. Yet the thought of Pam getting some isn't a big deal. There's got to be some sort of double standard going on there LOL
