Wow, this was just wonderful. This was the side of Michael that you just absolutely have to love, and it was nice that Karen got a glimpse of it too. I love the recurring theme of him doing what he does well because he's in the "people business".

I really liked this. Are you going to do parts of it from Karen's perspective?
Author's Response: Thanks for the feedback! I kept lapsing into Karen's side of it but made a conscious choice to stay in Michael's head. I'll either do a Karen's POV next or more Michael with some of the other characters (or maybe he meets Gould... that could be good).

That was really nice. The picture of the son made me think of the scene in Traveling Salesmen when Michael said he had never caught a fish that big. Michael is so good at relating to people at times, and so awful at other times! Luckily, he's good when it's time to sell!
And at least Karen didn't "Bernard" the situation, right? She's got some smarts.
