Disappointed this stops here - I first read it on FFN and I was thrilled to find it was a) posted here and b) extended. Darker than my usual tastes, but the prose here is excellent.

Well this is weird and intentionally referential and dark, but I like it anyway. Thanks for this exploration of the psyche.

Do you completed any of the stories you poseted!?

I like it so far.
That line form Mark "We always did feel the same, we just saw it from a different point of view" is from "Tangled up in Blue" by Bob Dylan... But you probably already knew that.

This is awesome....and freaky. It's freakin' awesome! Keep going, please.

I really like this chapter!
Jim better not be killing himself right now, though. Breakfast is coming, plus I think Pam just paid the piper...

Holy left turn, Batman! This story has caught me completely off guard. Get Jim to a therapist ASAP! And hello, freaky quarter guy!?! What was that.

What? I hope you update soon!!!

Oooooh....freaky!

This story is dark and weird but I love it. I really mean that in the best way possible. I applaud you for having the guts to write something that is so completely different from anything in this fandom, and to do it so well. Kudos.

Oh no, just when we thought Jim was in the clear...

Wow! Oh my gosh! You've just shocked me; I had no idea you were going this way. I did not expect that. At all!
Now I'm really wondering what you're going to do next. You're a sick, sick person, injoy. I'll be watching for an update. This just blew me away (in an astounded but good way). Wow.

Hooray! I love the candy bit, and that she's taking him home. If I were here, I'd never let him out of my sight. Well, at least without making sure he was feeling verrry secure about how I felt...

Hey, you're back! Glad you haven't forgotten about us. Or Jim & Pam. Now, of course, I'm sucked back in & wanting to see where else you are taking us...

I like your real as much as I like your nothing. The last paragraph was so beautiful and romantic - especially loved this line - "When their lips met, they were alone and content to never be anywhere else."

woah. good stuff. he just woke up all of a sudden and for a second there i couldn't decide whether he was dying or waking up. great job with that chapter.

Phew, for being back in the real. I need tangibles, baby!
I really like seeing Pam's POV here. And I love the subtle mention of being a permanent designated driver.
And thank you for a JAM kiss. May we see this in season 3. (Pray to Thor himself.)

injoy, the writing is really beautiful, but I'm hoping you start easing away from the esoteric and back into some facing-Pam-time. (Kev ducks as injoy throws garbage at her.)
Can Pam pull Jim away from the Nothing?
(Have you seen A Neverending Story? The Nothing is taking over. There's a book too, but I haven't read it. "Okay. Thought people read more books." (/Jim) Anyway, every time I see your title, I always think of the Neverending Story.)
What's next? Is that boat going to make its way to a... PamPort? (Groan.)

I never thought about the parallel between Jim finding out that Pam was engaged and Pam being told by Jim that he was dating someone. Good call!

I am really enjoying this. It's "tone" reminds me of something I read on FF last year called "The Eraser". Before then I never realized that I liked stories like this - dark, intense, mysterious, near-death or after-death experiences. I'm anxious for the next chapter. Great job.

Interesting. Choose life, Jim! Choose Pam! It is kind of esoteric, as you mentioned in the last chapter, but works.
I was just wondering earlier today what was happening with this story!
Author's Response: i'm a sort of lazy writer, so that's what took so long. been thinking on this chapter for the last few days, finally got it written. now, need to think on the next few chapters. much respect, and thanks for the reviews.

Oh, Sympathy for the Devil reference, am I right? Its darker than what I normally read, but I like it! :)

Yay, Mark!

aww i love that last line. she would definately be what keeps him from the nothing.

Wow! That was so beautifully written! I love the way you write Mark too, but I am still not clear why he stays. Is it just to watch out for Pam or what? anyway you did a great job with this I can't wait to read the rest!
