Wow, what a great story! I'd love it if you continue it, but it does stand on its own too. Very nicely done!!!

I love this story! Please update soon. I can't wait for more. And, I think you do a really good job in capturing all the characters and what not. It all just feels very real. Good job!

One shot please - it's really well done.
Also, and I don't want this to come off as condescending at all, but I cannot believe you are in high school. I wish I had this kind of skill and was able to analyze and create character situations like this when I was in high school - I don't even have it today! Thank you!

You could end it there, because it does work well as a one shot..But I'm enjoying this fic too much to actually want to see it end..So let continue on!!! :)

This was very well written and I think it ended on a perfect note. I hope something similar happens on Thursday!

This is SO true:
"She was my best friend, okay? She knows me better than anybody-" He misses the glare Karen throws him at that comment. "-and I miss the guy I used to be when we were friends."
I love that Jim says that, because I think that's what we're all thinking.
And KILLER last line. You know, as much as I love this story and I'd like to see more, I think it wraps up really nicely in just one chapter. But I'm certainly not gonna complain if you write more. :)

seriously the best post BG story for me, yet! I loved so much about this. Jim deciding mid-interview that he'd had enough of being a pod, not putting up with any shit-talking from Karen re: Pam, but also not being completley insensitve to Karen either. Then of course the scene in the stairwell was awesome. Thank you so much for this! I've been looking for something like this since Thursday!

This was a wonderful read, and works as a wonderful oneshot. However, I'd love to read a follow-up.

You're in high school? You don't write like it. It amazes me that you can write a believable high-powered interview as well as believable conversation between 20-somethings. I don't think anyone would know your age by reading this. There are many younger authors who give themselves away immediately; you don't give yourself away at all. Kudos.
This story is excellent. If you have ideas on where you want to go with it, please continue. It was a pleasure to read.

Awesome take on the situation...I can only hope that the real deal pans out this way...can't wait for more!

Very well written JAMsoundtrsck. I'd like to see you continue with the story.

I kindof like it as a one-shot, I will admit. Good job!

Wow -- you're in high school? This is quite well done. This is an important point: "I thought you understood that if we both interviewed for the job, only one of us would get it." So, I'm waiting to see how this is resolved, too.
I think this is complete as is, but you should definitely continue to write other things!

Nice. I vote oneshot. Maybe see what happens thursday.

I think this is great as is, Jim finally seeming to come to terms with who he is, and figuring out what he wants in life and why. And I think that's a nice note to leave Jim and Pam on, but if you chose to continue, that'd probably be cool too!

oh, i do love the way this turned out!

This was great! I love how it ended on a hopeful note. You can always continue, but I also think it's a great one-shot.
