Just got caught up with this story. Really am enjoying it but looking forward to Pam feeling good again.

Very good. I like how Jim is "more determined than ever to fall head over heels in love with Karen", as if this is something you can determine. Also "if he pretended to be happy long enough that eventually he would believe his own lie" is really good as well as your closing line.
You're really capturing Jim here. (What are you going to do with him? Let him out!)

Safety Training was such a surprise, with Jim and Pam just interacting like it was season 2 again. I think you captured it well. I especially like the 2nd paragraph about the bets and Kevin's "hours and hours".

I think you've really captured Jim with this one, especially here: He only wanted it to all be over. He wanted to move forward, with his new, drama-free, easygoing girlfriend. He wanted to stop loving her and stop wanting her to love him back.

This one is particularly good. I forgot to mention before that there's a wonderful Jim/Pam fanvid on YouTube with this song. (Search on Office and "you could be happy.)
Author's Response:
Yes, I have seen the video on YouTube before. It's beatifully done. The song is so good, and it really does capture the Jim/Pam essence to me. Especially during the past season. Glad you're reading and that you're enjoying it. |

And... THUD. (Just like the show, darn it!) My one nitpick here is we have absolutely no indication that Jim knew the wedding plans were all stolen from her. I think the only person Pam even mentioned that to was Roy.
This was very sad, when she went off with Roy. I thought for sure the next show would be her saying, "Yeah, I had a weak moment. What a mistake!"
Oh, well, all's well that ends well, right?
Author's Response:
Well, I guess we have no real proof that Jim knew. But for some reason, when Karen asked Jim what the P&R stood for when they were waiting to go into the church, Jim paused for like a second and the way he responded always made me wonder if he realized that the Phyllis wedding was supposed to be the Pam wedding. Anyhoo, this story will end happily because......the season finale was TOO happy for words. Thanks for reviewing.

Yes! That's what I'm talking about!

Yes, she cared! She cried and cried and even used the dreaded Schrutekerchief! That's how upset she was. MissKeri, you're making me revisit things that hurt my grief bone. When we get further along, I hope you insert some happy! The Return could be cheerful, right?

Reading this is a reminder of how sad some of this season has been. Most of it's been sad and difficult for Jim and Pam fans! This is all really well done, though. In this chapter, the part about no friendship and no foundation is very poignant, as is the last line.

This one hits me right in the heart, just like The Merger did the first time.
