For a pre-season fic where Pam is still engaged to Roy I can very easily see why she'd be so conflicted about the mistletoe. However it's also somewhat refreshing to have her realize this early that she's outgrown Roy. To it's going to take a lot more time and a whole lot of angst to finally figure it all out.
That being said, it was still very cute. Seeing the I have a crush jitters and all. Marina also feels like a breath of fresh air. If only she'd stayed around longer maybe both Jim and Pam could have gotten the perspective they both needed.
Well done for your first fic here on MTT. It was a lot of fun.

I loved this sweet little gesture from Jim that made Pam’s heart swoon… her secret gift to herself… thanks Dwight for spilling the tea! Brought back early memories of Office episodes when the Jam connection was so strong and yet, neither acted on it. Love Pam’s sweet doodle of mittens on Jim’s message too. Welcome to posting on MTT, glad to have you adding your stories.
Kind of fun little walk down memory lane. I like that you trusted your readers enough to know this is a pre-camera story. Also Pam acknowledging early that she has at least crush like feelings for Jim. That she likes the thought of holding his hand. We did get some of that in canon so it's nice to see how some of those feelings came to be.
As for the ingredients, up to you. If you don't want any spoilers than you can wait till the end of the story. Otherwise it's your call. Looking forward to Chapter 2 for sure.

Lots of fun down in Austin for sure. The fact Cece has Jim wrapped around her finger is adorable. As a father, yeah it's hard to say no to those puppy dog eyes. Love that Jim and Pam are still so ardent about each other. Feels like they have a great relationship still and I love it. Though the continued interpretations were funny too. That is till they finally get home and are alone. Very hot back in the bedroom. Great job.

I'm not much for the supernatural (a bit of a skeptic TBH) but I really wanted to write something with a vague hint of a Christmas Carol without it actually being a Christmas carol, or similarly It's a Wonderful Life. I wanted Mrs Frobisher to have a little hint of Clarence in this story as that enabler to help Jim have his happy ending (bit of an innuendo there but you know what I mean :D)

This was a lot of fun for sure. To get more of a reason why every so often we'd get glimpses of the real Jim in S3 was a nice way to frame it. As Jim said just before they got married, he knew all along he was waiting for his wife. Love that we get more detail as to why he's able to hold on to that kind of hope. While it would have been fun to have an AU Jim and Pam get together early kind of thing, this works well too. By the time they're truly together, they're ready for each other and then have a bond so strong, nothing will tear it apart. Lovely job.
Author's Response: Thanks Warrior! I thought hard about those moments when "our Jim" rather than the "evolved" version popped out in S3. It made sense that his subconscious might have a reason for that, however far-fetched! I watch S3 with a heavy heart sometimes, mainly because I want Pam to shake some sense into him and to get them together that much quicker! But it just wasn't their time yet. And I feel like I've given myself a reason to be able to watch S3 with a little more enjoyment.
