Haha, Kelly's is sort of like mine. And I wanted to skip my graduation, but unlike Ryan, I suffered through it. But I did take glasses at a community college in HS...and I do have grand plans to show up at my 10 year reunion someone different. But I did keep my diploma.
Um, and for some reason I have an urge to compare my life with your fictional versions of fictional characters.

Man, my last day of school seems.... well, more like your students and watching National Treasure (although we were more likely to watch Finding Nemo or Remember the Titans), than Pam or Jim's. Both of theirs seems more hopeful (Pams)... or at least a better high school expeirence (Jim)

Cute! I totally aggree. What happened to the kelly who wore blouses that revealed nothing? I think you got it spot on. And how funny Ryan didn't want to be in photos because he knew he'd be the shortest. Are you going to do one of Michael and dwight? I know they aren't contemporaries but I think you'd do a great job at writing Michael at 18.

Ya know, usually drabbles aren't my cup of tea, and they are really hard to review, because they are so short. but these two were really good and both captured what i can so easily believe those two were like on the last day of school. its like, pam is hopeful, and jim is realistic... and then in a way i think they sort of changed, pam in the next years accepted more of what was, and allowed it to stay the same, while although jim kept a bit of realism, he became more hopeful and like, changing...
wow, so my review may be longer than the drabbles... eep. and i have no idea where that thought process came from... who knows....

Here in New England, school goes well into June. To the chagrin of children, and merriment of moms.
I wasn't too sure about the booze in Jim's section. Would H.S. kids really do that? And not be noticed? I'll suspend my disbelief. I like the "selling something boring" part.
Pam was so full of life and possibilities. I love that Roy's job is "for the summer". Ha! It's wonderful that in so few words you manage to give a real feel for this art room.
Um... Pam, you might want to take a little trip to the Auto Shop of Jim's school... (If only).
And... is God's POV coming back soon? Always wondering what old God is thinking...
Author's Response: Thanks TLK. As always, I appreciate your reviews. At my high-school the booze (and other things) was in the art studio, but I switched it up and sent it to the auto-shop.

Yikes, I was this optimistic when I graduated from high school, that's not a good sign...
Only joking. You captured a great sense of nostalgia between these two, as well as painting a great picture of their surroundings in life before DM. You said a lot with very few words, great job :)
