This is very good. It's so interesting how Pam has let herself be taken care of all this time, and now she has nothing. If she had married him years and years ago, when she still loved him, it would be a different story.

Interesting. So, in your universe, Roy and Pam wedding was scheduled earlier and the date didn't fall through. Is this because she'd never met Jim, somehow? Curious.
I love that she didn't go through with the wedding.

Actually, the earlier date just fit better because I didn't want to go TOO far into the future with the story. Since I'm planning on it spanning over a couple of years right now. But it could definitely be because she and Jim had never met and the way that Pam's life played out sans-Dunder Mifflin dictated that marriage was the way to go.
...Or something. :) Haha

Aww I love how Roy is about to beg for her to stay. I love how you write Pam as so determined. I can't wait to see what happens with her in New York!!

I like that you made Pam leave Roy on her own, without Jim's influence. In really would like to think she would be able to do it without him. I also like that you just jumped into the story, and how we learn about their past in little bits in the chapter. I can't wait until she meets Jim....you do plan to have them meet eventually right?
