Wow! I have read this story several times since finding these boards and I think I like it more each time I read it! Even in a completely AU you were able to find Jim and Pam's personalities so perfectly! Thanks for a really great story!

AWW, this was the most perfect story ever. I love it so much, and especially the little snippet at how Pam was thinking of her current life and the past, how she would have thought it was all a dream now.
I'm going to start reading your epilogue soon, I can't wait. All I need to do is a little housework...
And seriously, one day I will actually find out how to give an 11 review rating.

Oh my god, I am going to Paris as soon as I am done with school I've decided. I never really had such a desire to go, but now I do! Wow, I want a Jim so bad and to go to Paris with him. This was such a fabulous chapter, and really, would you mind giving me an estimate of a) how much he spent on this trip, b) how much he makes annually, and c) a picture of the engagement ring he has for Pam? Thanks!

OH MY GOD, I WANT A JIM THANK YOU VERY MUCH.
Here is my review in form of a screenplay starring me. And in proper format, since screenwriting is my elective now.
Claire is sitting at a macbook pro laptop and typing away at her keyboard. She has a delighted expression on her face, giggling to herself, smiling uncontrollably. As she reads the final few lines of whatever it is she's reading with the orange and yellow background with a picture of two people holding hands and wearing blue tshirts with writing on the backs she squeals.
CLAIRE
Oh my god! I want a Jim! That is so sweet of him. I love this story!
She speaks to no one in particular, yet footsteps and the sounds of someone cooking in a kitchen are heard in the distance. She continues typing and grinning and presses a button.

Wow, that was incredible. I really liked this chapter, and I can see how their love for each other is so clearly there. However, the one thing I think you could work on in your writing is the emotion. I think Pam probably would have been more depressed or in more pain, Jim might have been a little more distraught. All in all, I think this could have been a little more intense. And in other chapters I would advise you to bring on the emotion - whether it be good or bad. I DO think that you did a perfect job on the art show night, that was good with the anger.
Okay, so I liked this chapter a lot, and those are a few things to keep in mind, even though this story was written a while ago. Great chapter!

Wow. I feel like Jim just kissed me.
Okay, not really, but I just wanted to talk a little bit about this chapter. First of all, I love how awful you made Karen, how she acknowledges Pam's art, says it's great and then Jim's able to brag about that being his girlfriend. That made me so happy! Second of all, I like how Jim didn't just slip away and melt off the face of the earth like a turtle when he got nervous and was able to be assertive and stand up to big, mean, stupid Karen. (I am not fond of her in any form...) That said, FANTASTIC chapter, and this may as well be my favorite. I think I'll add this to my favorites now... :) Great story, I love it!
Seriously, why do all of my favorites happen to be AU, set in NYC and feature Jim with some lady baggage in his past, Pam in art school after Roy and then the two of them slowly getting together? There was another one like this that I loved, too. I think this might be better, though. Definitely!

That was really good, I love how you decided to give them a little turn of events. It seemed so realistic, even though he was so drunk, which was out of custom. Great chapter, and I can't wait to see how you continue!

Hey there, so I've been reading the whole story here, I started yesterday and this is amazing! I've just wanted to stay in the AU world that you've created for Jim and Pam and then give you a really long review at the end. I hope you don't mind.
The reason, though that I'm leaving you this review now, is that dress you described Karen's dress in Phyllis's wedding? Just curious here... Also, I love the character of Dwight, and it's so nice that you've toned him down quite a bit, he still does have those strange Dwight tendencies but he's not the same as on the show, I hope you understand what I mean! And I love Jim, and I understand that he's not using Pam as a prostitute or something like that, but why does he keep giving Pam SO MUCH MONEY??? It's a lot! Is it his way of showing Pam how much he likes her? Lastly, I hope we hear about this ex-wife lady of Jim's, I'm getting curious! Great story, and I'm going to keep reading, then read the sequel!

This was really, really amazing. I couldn't pull away from it! I read all 28 chapters in one sitting. Absolutely amazing. I never thought I would like not-having them work at Dunder Mifflin but my god that was amazing!

A couple of years ago I went on one of those really quick tours of Europe. We only got to spend 2 days in Paris and I loved it. This chapter was great because it kind of took me back there but also reminded me how much I want to go back. (Now I need to start saving my money and leave) Your pictures at the end were great too!!
I just found this website recently and I wanted to say I love this story. Alternate Universe stories are my favorite and this one is still very believable. I'm not finished with it yet but it's great so far. Thanks for posting!! :)

omg. this is my favorite chapter. u did well with the bits on the louvre...this coming from someone that has actually be inside it. it's actually quite intersting inside, lol. there's a mall connected to it, with a metro running through it. it has a room with design plans, a hall or two full of statues, a few halls of paitings...the mona lisa isn't as big as you'd think. i only spent a few hours there, but the whole thing is rather spectacular. i want to go back to paris just to spend a week or two exploring.

I just found your story, and had to log in to tell you how much I am enjoying it. I especially loved this chapter when you talked all about Paris. We went 7 years ago, and your story of Jim & Pam's visit brought back so many memories. I got chills as you wrote about Pere Lachaise, as that was my favorite part of our trip. We took like a roll of pictures there. It really is a beautiful and peaceful place. I always recommend it to others headed to Paris and they always say, "Really? A cemetery?"
I wanna go back too. Soon! :)
Author's Response: Thank you so much!! :) I have to admit that the part about Paris was more or less me reliving my memories of there, but every place that I wrote about I think should be where people go. I totally know what you mean about Pere Lachaise too. I remember telling my mom about how awesome it was (and I spent an entire day there -- also took a TON of pictures) and she was just sort of like, "Okay, well...cool?" Haha, I kept telling her, "You just don't understand!!!" :D

I just finished this story, having read it in bits and pieces over the last two days. Loved it, especially the part in Paris, as my daughter is going there with a school group later this month.
I'm off to start the sequel now!

I absolutely love this story! I wasn't registered when I was reading it, but everyday I came home from work and immediatly checked for updates... it was quite the addiction. I thought you did an excellent job keeping Jim and Pam themselves in such a new and exciting story. The conclusion was great too!

I waited to read this until it was completely finished and I'm so glad I did, so I could enjoy it as a whole. This is such a sweet, amazing story. Some AUs really have difficulty maintaining even characterization, but I never thought that here. You did a great job of tweaking their world but remaining true to the heart of the characters. I loved this!
