so cute!
Author's Response: Thank you so much! They are cute together, aren't they?

This is wonderful! Pam will get really sick of those maternity clothes, too, probably, but then it's short term. (Full term, though)
Nursing clothes next, please?
I do love Pam modeling the clothes in the kitchen; you really caught that excited feeling!
Author's Response: Thank you very much! Not having kids myself, I wasn't sure I could capture this moment faithfully- which is why I cribbed from belsum, heh. I think the next chapter skips ahead quite a bit, though. But nursing clothes...I'll consider it. ;)

gah!okay, after this i am just going to close the computer, because this isn't healthy. anyways, i was skimming over previous chapters, because, lets face it, i am me, and i am nothing if not odd/pathetic. But, then I was like, hum, i bet last chapters little um, romp in the sack was connected to this pregnancy. I have a feeling it was (just because i bet you are smart enough to plan things like that).
Anyways, yes. really really really going to close computer now. i am i am i am. because as good as this is, the truth about forever is also amazing. and i haven't read any since yesterday!
Author's Response: Go read! But I do appreciate you spending part of your evening with me! And yes, I definitely planned to put things in order- I'm not sure the dish towel sex was THE incident that knocked her up, but it could have been!

That was adorable despite Pam's frustration. I like them just being a couple that are good working things out together.
Author's Response: Thank you so very much! I think that they are going to be so good together at all the little details of life. Whatever change comes, they'll meet it together.

I had to review again, because I don't know if I have rated it yet, and I just realized that as I submitted my last review. And also to update you. So far... nothing in my closet. Although I will admit there was a teddy bear I had forgotten about in there. So, now to spend quality time with Nighty (yes that is bears name)
Author's Response:
Well thank you for the rating, and good luck with Nighty. Ha!

Damn you. I was just about to close computer and curl up with a good book. Then this was updated. And now I ave to just read. Oh, and my do hates you, because she was in my computer spot, so I shoved her away to read. Granted, she would have been moved in a second anyways because my computer spot is also my reading spot (and sleeping spot... it is a twin bed, and not a lot of spaces for all of these spots.)
Just so you know - your Jim is totally perfect also. Seriously. I need to find that magical enterance into fictional office land (is it like the same way you can get into narnia?) because, I totally want a Jim. I am never going to be able to have a real relationship. I will constantly be comparing any boyfriend to Jim.
I am SO glad you didn't just stop at five chapters!
Author's Response: Ha, thank you! Check the back of any closets and armoires you might have- one of them could have a door to Scratonarnia! And please apologize to your dog for me. :)

Awww..now if that's not the most impossibly cute thing ever, I don't know what is! :)
Author's Response: Aw, thanks! Heh, I like them so much.

well, I hate that this is over, b/c it's been so funny and sweet. However, this is a GREAT ending :) It's so THEM, ya know? great job!
Author's Response: Ah, but it isn't quite over yet. I can't be stopped! Heh. Thank you so much. "[S]o THEM"? That's the best compliment you could give me, honestly.
Date: June 16, 2007 07:05 pm Title: I know what I am
HEE! Even knowing you were working in this particular chapter I still couldn't stop giggling. Love that it all started from Jim misunderstanding why she had been shopping. But you should have mentioned in the author's note just where, ahem, you came up with the idea! HA!
Author's Response:
No one needs to know that this is loosely based on real-life events, bel, dear. ;)
Glad you liked- and I'll definitely put an author's note about the source of the next chapter!

Now that was a bedroom scene worth of Jim and Pam. Seriously - it's going into my books as one of the best ever. It was just.....them. You are missing your calling, Lis - jim and pam bedroom scenes. ;-)
Author's Response:
Is this the first step toward my new romance-novelist career? (Probably not!). I'm so glad you liked it!! I don't usually follow them this far, so I am relieved that it seemed in-character. It was more fun than I care to admit ;) One more chapter to go!

Ah. Thank you for clueing me in. I am one of the three or four people in the world who has never read any Harry Potter, nor seen any of the films. So, I appreciate you explaining this to me. :)
What a nice little chapter here! I don't go in for the smut either, but this was sweet and funny with just the right mix of sexy. I'm becoming quite the fan of your work, nqllisi!
Author's Response:
Thank you so much! That's so cool, especially since I enjoy your work so much as well! I just thihk that these two will have a very passionate relationship, but it won't change their primary connection, which is their shared sense of humor.
Also, I would be remiss not to encourage you to look into Harry Potter. :)

awww. so cute.
Author's Response: Thank you so much!

This is so charming, nqllisi! I'm only sorry it's taken me so long to discover it; I'm loving every chapter, and the simple elegance of your writing is a real treat. Looking forward to more! --CH
Author's Response: Oh, thank you very much! "Simple elegance" is such a lovely compliment- you can't see me, but I'm smiling and blushing right now. I'm so glad you are enjoying it!

What a great sense of humor Pam has, to dress up all sexy in her kitchen linens. Ha! Jim is so lucky. As are all your readers, lis! Looking foward to the last chapter of this great story.
Author's Response: Awww, thank you. I feel lucky to have readers! This story has been so much fun to write. One to go!
Date: June 15, 2007 09:06 pm Title: I know what I am
I really liked all these chapters. Very true to character and nicely developed.
Loved the Dobby comment! I laughed out loud. Also very fitting, since they've made Harry Potter references several times.
Author's Response: Thank you so much! I want them to be true to character and to show growth, so it is very encouraging for you to say that! And yeah, I've been calling this my "Dobby" chapter to my beta (who will be relieved I finally got it posted).
Date: June 15, 2007 08:43 pm Title: I know what I am
That was so cute! It made me smile. Playful! Pam is great. Happy to hear there will be a 6th chapter!
Author's Response: She is great when she's having fun, isn't she? And she never has more fun than when she is with Jim. Oh, is it season 4 yet?! I can at least promise that chapter 6 will be up before we get a new episode...Thank you so much!
Date: June 15, 2007 08:40 pm Title: I know what I am
I'm glad you explained Dobby. I had no clue! I loved the 'reveal' of what she had bought. (Fashion show upstairs! Fashion show upstairs!)
And here I thought it was going to be a maternity bra. Or a maternity top. Those things are so sexy. Is sexy the right word? And have I guessed your next chapter?
At one point when I was pregnant, I was standing in my bedroom with maternity pants (up over the big belly, Urkelina style) and maternity bra, looking ever so enormous. My kid came in the room and said lovingly, "Mommy, that's a beautiful outfit!" (It's that whole 'eye of the beholder' thing.)
This is such a nice story. My favorite is still Jim's reaction to "You'll manage; I did" and "You'll have to marry me." So many flavors of awesome.
Author's Response:
Shhh, don't give away chapter 6. ;) And that's a very sweet story- your kid must like you.
Thank you so much- I like my stories being called awesome in any flavor (Mixed Berry?). Thanks again!

Niiiiiiiice [/Kevin]
Author's Response:
lisahoo, coming alive! I like it! (Thank you!!)
Date: June 15, 2007 08:32 pm Title: I am happy
Oh, nice! I especially like the bit about them both proposing.
Author's Response: Oh, thank you so much! I am a sucker for the fluff, and nothing's fluffier than weddings!
Date: June 15, 2007 07:43 pm Title: I know what I am
This was sweet/funny... and glad this won't turn into more smut (my brain is breaking from skimming through the twop posts recently)...
and having never read harry potter, and only seen snippets of the movies while babysitting, i didnt know that reference, and it sounds totally and completely strange.
and a short review because it as been a long day and an even longer weekend awaits.
Author's Response: No, I think you and I are on the same page regarding smut- it's just not my cup of tea (and I'm a mid-30's married lady, hee). It is hard to explain Dobby succinctly, but suffice it to say that he's an ugly beastie and Pam looks nothing like him whatsoever. Thank you for your unparalleled support of this fic- I love it! Have a good weekend!

Love the Dobby reference!!
Author's Response: Oh, thank you! I have HP on the brain these days- can't wait for July!
Date: June 15, 2007 06:55 pm Title: I changed for me
I have really enjoyed this story. The storyline was so original. Loved the bit about the oven mitt waving jauntily! I thought Dobby wore an old sock not a dish towel. Guess I better go and reread it.
Author's Response: House Elves wear whatever (tea towels, etc.) until they are given clothes- and Dobby was given a sock, so we're both right! Hee. Thank you so, so much! I'm glad you're enjoying it- I'm going to add one more chapter, I think. (And you should re-read HP in time for book 7 in July!)
Date: June 15, 2007 06:31 pm Title: I know what I am
I've really really enjoyed this story. And this may sound weird, but what really got my interest at first was the chapter titles. I love the journey Pam has taken (with Jim's help) to become comfortable in her own skin (or own clothes, heh), and so the titles really got my attention.
This chapter was so funny! Wow, just great. And I love that Jim knows who Dobby is. He would.
Can't wait for the last chapter!
Author's Response: Thank you so much, bealsa! I've had a great time writing it. I am so excited that you mentioned the chapter titles- I have honestly worked really hard on those, which is a weird thing to admit, but since you noticed them than I guess it wasn't TOO weird. Thank you again! I have the idea for the last chapter all thought out, so it should be up fairly soon!
Date: June 11, 2007 10:52 am Title: I am happy
Loved it. Jim's teasing about it being "a new dress" was so him - both the words and the reason. And fabulous that Pam took credit for the proposal that happened at the end of the last chapter! Can't wait to find out what the last outfit is going to be.
Author's Response:
Thanks for commenting! (Heee)
I think Jim uses humor to cover a lot- but maybe he uses it to mask his pain a lot less now that he is finally with Pam! We need to discuss the last outfit, actually- an e-mail is on the way. Thank you for your review, as always!

Yes! Silly superstitions about seeing the bride in her dress before the wedding be hanged!! (heck, I took my wife's bridal photos two months before we got married!) This is such a nice little series of glimpses. I am really enjoying them.
Author's Response: I'm so glad you like! We did our photos before the ceremony...but we did clear everyone out of my dressing room so we could have "a moment" beforehand. I was calmer instantly (like Pam in my story, obviously). Thank you, again- it's great to have a guy's seal of approval on all this fluff!
