I don't know how I missed this. This is incredibly well written and gorgeous and sad and also happy knowing that eventually most of these dreams came true for them. A real hidden gem.

This was heartbreakingly beautiful. Such lovely day dreams followed by the reality of each going home alone. Great job.

Well done!

I just love this.  So amazing.  What a lovely vision, even if it is only a daydream.

I loved reading this.  It was very poetic.  I couldn't tell if it took place when Pam was still with Roy..If so, it's so sad!  If not, then it's very hopeful!  Either way, I loved it!

Author's Response: Hi Abigail! I actually left the context of Roy and Karen totally out of the story on purpose. I didn't want outside stuff influencing the inside stuff, if that makes sense. Glad you enjoyed :)

I love how you structured this - their parallel thoughts. And that both of them daydream about ordinary, real life stuff, yet it seems magical because of each other. So many wonderful moments, but I especially like him wanting to tell her about his dog and cheating on a test - so simple, but so evocative of how deeply connected he wants to be to her. This was so sweet and true to character and intimate...really lovely.

Author's Response: Thanks, Colette! I've read some of your stories (and reviewed a few) and have really enjoyed them, so I'm pleased that you liked mine. And that's exactly what I was going for with the dog/cheating on test memory. Thanks so much for reading.

Wow.  That is one of the most beautiful things I've read. I can't wait for the next chapter!!

Author's Response: Thanks, 'nana slings. You know, I was thinking of this in terms of a one-shot-deal, but perhaps, if you guys think I should, I'll continue. I have to admit, more scenes keep popping into my head, but I think I want to leave the JAM one alone, at least for now. Maybe a few more afternoon daydreams from the other characters? Would you guys want to read those?

Oh my gosh.  This was absolutely beautiful.  I felt myself drifting along with all of the gorgeous imagery.

Thanks for posting this here.  It made my evening.  :-)

Author's Response: Hi, rakerpation! I'm glad it made your evening! Reading all your responses is certainly making my morning! Thank you for reading.

Talk about satisfied and smiling. Man, this was good! If I quoted every moment that I loved, I'd just have to copy and past the entire thing. But I have to say the idea of her pulling off her hair band and putting it on Jim's bangs, made me stop and just laugh for a moment. GREAT stuff.

Author's Response: Thanks, LoveFool! I thought that would be sort of a silly mental picture. :D

Author's Response: Also, I just read your Baby Talk series. I know I'm a little behind the times, but that was really adorable. Now I'll know to look out for more of your stories. Well done! :)

I love how you have them both imagining their future lives together.  Like Pam, I got a little teary-eyed at the end.  Very well written.

Author's Response: Thank you! I'm glad you enjoyed it, and that you found it touching! That's what I was going for.

You don't even own a paperclip? Here, here is a bunch of paperclips for you.

Wow, I really really really loved this... it is so simple, and it really is just about passing time, but it is so descriptive and just lovely.

I think this: After, he tells her about the day when he was eight and saw his dog hit by a car. Or the time in college when he cheated on a Spanish exam that he hadn’t studied for. These are things he still thinks about, sometimes.
I think that was my favorite bit... maybe. It was so hard to choose, but that really resonates with me.

But, I can only say that one by a teeny margin, because each of those scenes was amazing.

Its all so amazingly wonderful and descriptive. I really can't say how much it is awesome.

I can totally picture all of those things and those two just being happy forever.

Author's Response: Thanks, Emily, for your words! I'd been thinking about the best way to write this story for awhile, but once I started writing the words and scenes just came. I think it's what everyone wants in a soulmate, you know? Someone who we can tell our deep, dark secrets to. I think these characters already talk to each other like this, and would continue to do so forever! :) Thanks again.

I love this - it's not just the idea that they pass their days in the office thinking of their future together, because there they're allowed to dream [if only to save themselves from boredom and falling asleep], leaving and forgetting those dreams, and coming back the next day and have the same thing happen all over again. It's not just that - it's the amazing descriptions and the way everything flows and melds together. It's the right amount of hope and happy and some sad, which is closer to Season 2's dynamics than S3's, which I missed. I love this! I adore this, I really do.

Awesome, amazing, gorgeous story. :D

Author's Response: Thanks so much. I went back and forth for awhile on whose perspective I wanted the daydreams to be in... and then I realized that it would be more effective to have them imagining very similar things. I'm glad you enjoyed it.

This was really beautiful.  From the mundane things to the extraordinary things in their lives - you write it so vividly.  Great job.

Author's Response: Thanks very much! That's what I was going for - a mix of events both big and small - but all equally important. Thanks again for reading!

I was stunned to see there were no reviews; this is beautiful. Simple and wonderful.

Author's Response: Hi KatieJ, thanks for your review. I know reviews shouldn't really matter, but they really do! (I hope I'll get some more!) And I appreciate you taking the time to read and comment on my simple little story. Thanks again.
