I have a bone to pick...there is definitely more to dating than having sex. I'm a little appalled that you're implying that you're not "really dating" someone unless you're having sex with them. Under that definition my husband and I didn't date until we got married! Haven't finished the story yet but that disturbs me a little that dating and screwing now mean the same thing to some people.
Author's Response: umm... seriously? That is JIM and PAM in this fic. That is not how I feel about all relationships in life and it is never what I said about all relationships in life. I never said they weren't officially dating b/c they hadn't had sex yet but because they hadn't TALKED about it yet. I'm sorry you're so upset but I really don't understand why you're putting YOUR beliefs on me and my story, especially when its a total misunderstanding.

What I really liked about it though - it was hot but also sweet - the way he kept nuzzling her neck and kissing her - I've already read this way too many times for it to be healthy!

Yeah, i've had this story in the can for a WHILE and a good chunk of the sex was alread written I just had to ... finish it off, if you will ;) (that's what she said!) and I definitely took my time with that. I wanted the first-time-Jam-Sex to be good and hot but realistic. I hope I did a good job. :)

I think Pam & Jim and a second chance at fireworks is a great reason for writing. Set against the backdrop of the wacky co-workers at a party -- bonus points. A 'do-over' for the art show -- you win.
Looking forward to more of this (like the actual fireworks!)
