You made me tear. That wins Jim's confession, hands-down, because you know what this does? This reminds me of one of my favourite books, The History of Love, and that may be one of the highest compliments I can give you, because I adore that book and think it's gorgeous.
And I think this is gorgeous. From the beginning, to the change in Pam and how she changed back, and everything in between - goodness, I am in love with this story, and I will tell you now before you cry and leave. I love how you tackled Pam, in general, how she finally confronts everything and she sees why she needs to tell him this, it's amazing. And that speech makes me cry no matter how many times I read it.
I love the supporting characters, too - Michael is spot-on, scared of change, Angela is a bitch but not heartless, Dwight is an idiot but not stupid, and - everything, you know? I love this. I would've loved it even without the smut, and with the smut this story is worthy of a gazillion stars.
Damn it, you've left me a rambley mess. Thank you.
Author's Response: Wow. Thank you so, so, so much. The support and encouragement has been incredible. I'm sort of exploring how love gets started here, and then how it get maintained. I don't think it matters how fated something is, it's still damn hard to be a human being. That's probably why I love this show so much in the first place. It rings truer than anything else I've ever seen on TV, including reality shows...

If you are a review slut, I'm a Not A Word... slut. The last couple of chapters have been, very hot. Why is Pam holding out on him? Between that and the ladder incident, she's taken on kinda a cruel vibe. I have complete faith that she'll redeem herself though, right?
Author's Response: Because she is freaking out. Sex has an amzing way of obscuring fundamental issues in a relationship, and those two got nothing but. So I thought I would extend it just enough to show that smut is not an end unto itself! No worries about redemption, though. It'll end...wonderfully.

I don't think I've reviewed this yet because after reading a chapter, I usually wander away from the computer in a daze, so this was a nice break. It's so wonderfully written and so in character. I love how Jim is the one to want to take things to an emotional level. So very, very good!
