I'm really pleased to see Jim (and hopefully Pam) having some questions about the online identities. I can't imagine you can chat for that long and not give something away. I'll be interested to see how this changes their behavior in subsequent 'episodes.'

Aha! I love that one of them (at least) is somewhat catching on. Now I'm wondering how someone can speak a person's name in CAPITAL LETTERS. I'm sure Jim can figure it out. Great chapter!

I LOVE this story. I basically jump up and down when I see it's been updated. And my new favorite line from a story came from this chapter: That’s usually when he stops himself because he’s learned that nothing comes from wishing and that hope gets faded when you leave it out in the sun too long. I just really adore that line. Just thought I'd let you know that

I want to scream at Jim and shake him and be like, "JUST ASK HER DOOFUS!" but I can't because he's not real... And in fanfic he's even less real because he's like a made up version of a made up person... Except i love this story, so please continue it! I'm getting antsy!

"Maybe he’ll say her name in a way so that she can somehow hear the capital letters." This line just makes me ache for Jim. How beautiful! And I love how you closed: "Right before he finally surrenders to sleep, the only thing he knows for sure is that he completely understands the urge to slam your fist through a wall." So great! Not sure if I've commented yet, I've been catching your updates at the end of each week, so if I haven't said so yet, I absolutely adore this story and can't wait for the next chapter!

To be honest (and I'm confessing something here I just decided) my original intention was to keep this going through the events of The Job, but I don't think it will work anymore, so...some thing will be revealed sooner than I originally intended.

This is so fabulous! Loved the last two chapters (well i loved them all but those were the new ones for me this evening!) I really did think they'd mess it up between the 2 conversations.

I continue to love this story, but something in this chapter didn't sit right with me. Would JIM/Jim really start IM'ing PAM in the middle of his chat with Pam? I get that his convo with Pam got him thinking of PAM, but I think he's too nice a guy, and likes Pam too much, to multi-task like that. It'd be more reasonable to me if perhaps there were some delay in Pam's response to him - like she had to answer the phone or get her laundry or something - during which he decided to start the IM. Just my two cents. Please keep the stories coming. I am addicted. :)

You know, I thought about all of that (though I wasn't clever enough to have Pam have to go and do something) but I really wanted to have the conversations going on at the same time. I really value your feedback, though, and I think the next chapter will get things back on track.

chatting AND IM'ing at the same time -- you are melting my brain -- it's all I can do to keep Jim/JIM and Pam/PAM straight. I mean that in the best way possible, of course. (After all, I'm intelligent enough to be a fan of TO, no?)

It was a little confusing and a little hard to keep up with but it just took a little getting used to. And I freaked out for about five seconds when I read: Wayne’s new pregnant woman (Carla) = Karen. I read it too fast and thought that Karen was pregnant. Serves me right for speed reading.
