This is really interesting, I'd totally read more! I like your use of imagery, the 'dust on an old book' wording is beautiful.

Either as a one shot or the beginning of something longer, this was really nice. I liked seeing how Sasha might turn out, as well as this Miss Beaseley-Halpert. I liked your description of how Sasha felt - and the descriptions of memory was very lyrical.
