I could help but laugh/squeal at the potato ripping through the air. Amazing. This story is great! I hope you're being truthful about being excited to write the rest, because we're all looking forward to it, I'm sure :)
Author's Response: Thank you so much for the compliments! I'm not gonna lie, I'm sort of battling writers block on this one, but I'm forging ahead and trying to keep it coming for you guys!! Thanks for reading and hopefully I'll have more updates more often.

This is ... a dream come true. Seriously.
Author's Response: lol thank you ;-)

Okay so because finals are over I have been obsessively checking for updates on your story! When it finally came up tonight I was so excited! Heh, so I know I'm revealing what a huge geek I am...but alas...it's the fate of every X-Phile.
Love this story! I am still so impressed. These thoughts of Scully's particularly gripped me: "She thought he was Heathcliffe and Don Quixote, all stormy eyes and illusions of windmills, all foundation-less arrogance and unreasonable romance." Guh. So true to her too, because leave it to Scully to start comparing Mulder to literary characters. Such an excellent depiction of his character as well. Don Quixote I've always thought myself, but I love the Heathcliffe and Mulder parallel, I had never thought of that before.
I never thought I would get so invested in this story. But it is probably one of the most well-done crossovers I've ever read. Keep it coming...I'm loving every second of it!
Author's Response: Thank you so much! This review really made my night. I'm so glad you're hooked on the story and I'm SO SORRY it took me so long to update. I also had finals and it was so frustrating because I knew exactly where I wanted the story to go, but I just didn't have the time. Anyway, now I do so hopefully the updates will be more regular. Thanks again for the compliments and for reading!!

So glad you're back & this story is still going!
Author's Response: Thanks! And thank you for reading still after such a long hiatus ;-)

"Pam’s problem had always been that she had impossible dreams, so she’d resigned herself to living in nightmares."
What a beautiful line. I love the parallels between Pam and Scully.
Author's Response: thanks

I adored Jim and Pam's conversation about Dwight being a volunteer rodeo clown vs sheriff - too funny. It sounded just like them! And Creed's thoughts of the cult were also hilarious.
Author's Response: thank you

"Karen had gotten the job at corporate easily and without much effort at all, and when she had asked Jim if he would move with her, he’d said yes in his head. He had meant to say yes out loud. But something happened and he just couldn’t get that single syllable out of his mouth…he couldn’t get himself to say it and make her smile the way he knew she would if he agreed to the relocation. Instead he just stared at her silently, and she nodded after something like thirty seconds, tears in her eyes, taking his quiet, non-response for the break up that he guessed it was."
I've never seen the X-Files and know nothing about Muldur and Scully, but I must say that I loved the Jim and Karen break-up scene.
Author's Response: you should watch the x files. thanks for the review.

This story is so amazing I can't even really handle it. I'm beyond impressed that you made an X-Files/Office crossover work. I mean... wow. And Mulder and Scully are written so perfectly well here that I get stupidly giddy every time I get to one of their sections.
Please oh please oh please update soon! :)
Date: November 28, 2007 07:56 pm Title: Passing the time
Okay I seriously freaked out when I saw what this crossover was. Brilliant! Your characterizations are spot on. And I've always felt that getting Mulder and Scully and their amazing rapport to look right in a story is very hard, so I am deeply impressed. The M/S talking heads were hysterical. When she sighs and says that it's not aliens I was cracking up. Who knew that an Office/X-Files crossover would work so well? These are my two favorite fandoms so this?....Lord it's like Christmas...:) Great job, can't wait to read more!!
Author's Response:
I know! I'm shocked the story is working out as well as it is, because honestly I thought the original idea would just sort of be a joke story. But it's TOTALLY not! And I'm so enjoying the journey! Thanks for the compliments, still quite a few chapters left I think so keep me posted on your thoughts ;-)

Like we needed to have the tension amped up. Sheesh. Poor Jim and Mulder! And I love the girl talk between Pam and Scully. Strange how right it all seems...
Author's Response: lol I know I can't believe these four work so well together. It doesn't seem like it should work, and yet... ;-)
Date: November 28, 2007 05:37 am Title: Passing the time
Poor Jim and Mulder!!! I love this so much...especially Pam confiding in Scully. This is just the best of everything!
Author's Response:
lol thanks! Glad you're reading it, GodInThisChilis!

Poor Jim and Mulder! I must tell you, i am loving this story something sick. You are being wonderfully delicate and intelligent in the way you are building the tension. I cannot wait for the next installment. I do hope Scully and Pam make it back to Mulder and Jim soon.
Author's Response: Thank you!! Hopefully the next installment will come soon.

“What’s going on with you and Agent Mulder?”
“What’s going on with you and Jim Halpert?”
I think I'm a little bit in love with you right now.
Author's Response: ;-) gotta love the turn-around.
Date: November 26, 2007 10:00 pm Title: Nothing.
Yeah for the update! I was beginning to think Pam and Scully would be trapped forever in the basement. Which, I'm totally buying the false wall or whatever it is and I think you're doing just fine with the "case" part of the story. Although, can't wait to get back to the tension of a sexual nature either!
Author's Response: I was beginning to think they'd be trapped forever in the basement too ;-) Thank god this story is rolling again. And thank you for the review!!! (Don't worry the sexual tension shall return)
Date: November 26, 2007 11:37 am Title: Nothing.
Totally not too much of a stretch for me. Allowing the Bad Guy the ability to hide the bomb shelter's existence really amped up the tension. GAH! When are they going to find the girls and make out with them already?!
Author's Response: WHEN indeed!!!! lol thanks for the review and the reassurance, I'm glad it seems plausible to you ;-) More to come soon I think, and hopefully Mulder will figure something out sooner rather than later. Then they can all make out.
Date: November 26, 2007 03:16 am Title: Nothing.
ZOMG -- love the parallel b/w Mulder & Jim! Glad to see an update!
Author's Response: Thanks for the review!! More to come soon I hope.

"you have to put a quarter in" BWAH!
And Scully and Mulder doing TH's? CLASSIC!
Author's Response: LOL I love that line ;-) and yeah I couldn't resist the TH thing...it's just too good. Thanks for reading and reviewing lisahoo!!
Date: November 12, 2007 10:41 am Title: It's always darkest just before...uh...
Oh man I am so hooked on this story. It is seriously as good an an XF episode! (Only without the icky monsters - I hope.) The Mulder/Scully tension is just killing me. Yowza!
Author's Response:
yay! lol yowza is right. These two are just so great, I forgot how much I love them ;-)
Date: November 11, 2007 09:58 pm Title: It's always darkest just before...uh...
It is always Scully who's getting into these situations, isn't it? Sigh.
Great chapter and I'm hoping that Jim does feel the vibe of Pam being gone, even if he tries to shake it off because of what he heard.
Author's Response: It really is. I actually have a very special place in my heart for those episodes where it's Mulder who needs saving. However, this is not one of those! lol. And yeah hopefully Jim gets the vibes ;-)
Date: November 11, 2007 08:58 pm Title: It's always darkest just before...uh...
Squeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee!!!!! Now Mulder and Jim team up to save the day? *dies from the sheer awesomeness*
*revives*
So, I still am in awe of your ability to write Mulder and Scully in perfect character.
My favorite parts (parts that made me squee or laugh out loud):
“So now you’re all about procedure, Scully? That’s quite the change from this morning…”
“Yes,” Jim proclaimed too loudly, bolting up out of his chair and heading for the door of the conference room.
“Going to give a personal interview?”
“This isn’t the end of this conversation,”
And why the hell had he been prancing around without a shirt on?
More now please!
Author's Response: lol oh mulder and scully, I love them so. It's so interesting to me to be writing these two couples in the same story because they're both so similar, but at the same time...wow such a different feel to them. I love the dark dryness that only M&S can have ;-) And, yeah, get ready for the angst/humor fest that is Mulder and Jim as a team. More soon, I promise!!
Date: November 11, 2007 08:06 pm Title: It's always darkest just before...uh...
predictable? maybe... but effective. i love it anyway! now the men have to come riding running to the rescue. :) I can't wait!
Author's Response: lol. Well I suppose it's a kind of predictable formula for a reason ;-) Plus who could stand an MSR story without some serious Mulder angst?? Am I right?
Date: November 11, 2007 06:05 pm Title: Seven Missing in Scranton, PA. Local authorities baffled.
I can't tell you the spaz attack I had when I saw this crossover pairing. Though it seems like a bizarre match, I think you just might do my two favorite fandoms justice :)
Author's Response: yay thanks!! I hope it works out, I know it seems bizarre but I think it'll be ok in the end ;-) Keep me posted!
Date: November 11, 2007 06:00 pm Title: It's always darkest just before...uh...
So Jim and Mulder are going to work together? This is getting increasingly creepier.
Author's Response: lol not exactly...I'm not sure Jim would be very helpful. Keep reading!!!!! And I'm glad the creep factor is still alive and well.
Date: November 10, 2007 06:54 pm Title: Psyche
I am very intrigued, can’t wait for more! Mulder/Scully AND Jim/Pam what could be better?
When I was younger I read many fic (which I was waaaay too young to be reading) in the X-files fandom. I will always love mulder/scully, for they introduced me to unrequited love, passion, and smut. Did I mention that I was really, really too young to be reading this stuff…I mean where are the parents?
Anyways, today I’m all about the office & jim/pam. So thank you for bringing together my old and new love….and if you feel so inclined please include the smut; I’m much older now ; P
Author's Response:
Yes! Lol your life story is the same as mine, and yeah...where ARE the parents? I was definitely way too young to be reading the saucy and smutty MSR that was out there, but I read it anyway. Lol and now here I am...
Hopefully it'll get MSR/JAM enough for you eventually ;-) Keep reading.

Wow. That was awesome. So creepy. Just like the X-Files! I have zero clue who it is. But I really liked this chapter. Crazy, deluded, higher-cause wielding fanatics always make for good villians.
