I can't wait to read the rest, but I just had to say...they're in my hometown! YAY! Okay, on to chapter 2.
Author's Response: Well, I live there now! It seemed like the most natural unlikely place for them to run into each other, and it really is a great setting for a story...

So beautifully written, and so beautifully sad already.
Author's Response: Oof. Thank you SO much, Kay. I do so love your reviews and how specific they are. It pushes me to write the best I can. I don't really know where this is going. Sometimes, you just set things into motion and follow where they go. I don't know if this will end happily, though, I'm just warning you.

Oh my. This is going to be a bumpy ride for my poor heart (and Jim's), but I'm willing to take it. Excellent writing.
Author's Response: It might not end well, I'm just warning you! Thanks so much for reading.

Yikes... you weren't kidding with the "angst" classification. I love the idea of "the perversion of a Marx Brothers gag." That's some seriously great writing right there.
Well done!
Author's Response: Hee-hee. Thanks so much, Mose. I'm trying to get away a little bit from the hard-core smut that landed me here!

Very intriguing, Shassafrass. You've got me hooked. Can't wait to see where this goes! -CH
Author's Response: Honestly, neither can I. It's like one of those little toys with a pull-cord. You wind it up and than try to follow it when it takes off. Thanks so much for reading and commenting.
