I have to stop myself from biting off all my nails. Is that weird???? (don't answer) I'm dying here, Shass. This is soooo good.

F*ck. I'm drained. Don't leave me hanging, Shass. This is too good. I really can't even imagine where you're headed.

Ok, so I just caught up with this story, managing (stupidly) to overlook it for the first 12 chapters. I have to say, I have no clue where you are going with this -- but it is some of the most powerful writing I've read in awhile. Every chapter just hits me square in the gut. Though I'm figuring the happy ending I'm accustomed to, won't happen...I'm still looking forward to what you have in store. Great work

He loves her. He does.
Just not with all of his heart.
That line slayed me! This is a wonderful creation you have here, I'm excited to see how each of them goes on.

I was just thinking about this story the other day and I'm so glad to see it back. The feeling, emotion and tension you've managed to weave are so freaking real. Can't wait to see what else you have in store for this.

*dies*
So good, Shassafrass. I'm becoming a broken record, but I almost don't even care anymore. The tension is palpable, and I think I know what kind of semi-happy ending you're sneaking up on (I'm thinking the end of Cast Away, if that's a clue), but right or wrong, I know you won't disappoint. I'll be checking for more updates; it's been a treat to get so many new chapters in one day! -CH

"What kills me is…” His voice breaks, just a little. “…that I’m the guy you settled for.”
Poor Doug. For his sake, and Mollie's, I hope their world is able to right itself.

"Please say something to me because every second that you don’t just says that I’m losing you and I can’t lose you.”
This was so heartbreakingly sad. Poor, poor Molly.

This is, by far, one of the most amazing things I have ever read. It's gut-wrenching and beautiful at the same time. Thank you so much for writing this.

So glad to see you updated. It's a difficult story to read, by that I mean, difficult to the heart, but when a new chapter is up I pounce on it as I don't want to miss a thing. Awesome job.

This story...Shassafrass...it's just killing me. Please, please don't wait so long to update next time. It's gorgeous, so full of emotion. It's like you've taken these characters and perfectly transported them forward in time. I love how the story is being revealed just a tiny bit at a time and my heart aches for all of them, but especially Molly. And that is some kind storytelling - to make the reader care as much, if not more, about someone you just made up, than Jim and Pam themselves. Okay, I'm a little into the wine here, so I can't be as specific as I'd like to be, so I'll just say thank you so much for updating.

Clicked 'next' then 'previous' because I can't let a single chapter of this story go by without saying how great it is. I was worried this was going to be forgotten, but I can't tell you how over the moon I am to see an update. There is a mood hanging over this story that you are so adept at creating and I can't get enough of it. Okay? Okay. Clicking 'next' now.

It's extremely rare that I actually feel edgy reading a fanfic. And this story - this last chapter in particular - has me all kinds of antsy. I like that their respective mates aren't simply fodder, but sympathetic characters (especially Molly,) not so easily jettisoned. And how that thing between them just won't die. Really riveting.

Shassafrass--I will go on a hunger strike between new chapters of this story (that's a lie, but I might give up something else important, like exercise or something). You absolutely KILL me with every chapter, and I love you for it. I cannot wait to see what happens next; some sick, twisted part of me wants them to dump their all-too-innocent spouses so they can finally be happy with each other. I especially love this: "...Just not with all of his heart." That so perfectly sums up Jim's feelings for all the non-Pams we've seen him with on the show, and you've written the turmoil so beautifully.
Guh. I'm dead, Shassafrass. DEAD! And lovin' every minute. More, more, more (and perhaps some Siren too? I'm greedy today)!! --CH

I got so excited when I saw that this was updated! And then said "wow" after reading this latest chapter. Did not expect that about Pam. Can't wait for more.

I really like the Jim/Pam married to other people but still in love with each other kind of fic and you have perfected it with this story! I just re-read all of it and you need to update soon!

I love that this story so eloquently expresses the deep emotions running through the connection between Jim and Pam... it's like an addiction between them, which pulls them together no matter how harmful it may be.
Love love love that you updated! Keep the greatness coming!

Shassafrass--I'm SO happy to see this story again! I love the tension and flow of the words, and I'm already waiting for the next few chapters. Part of me is still hoping Larissa is Jim's kid (even if it's impossible within the timeline of the story!), but I simply cannot wait to see where this goes next!! --Best, CH
