Woo, Sports Night. So underrated.
I like how you wrote their conversation here -- I think the awkwardness of two complete strangers (each preoccupied with their own issues) having a stilted, but earnest conversation feels more real than a huge heart-to-heart whereupon Dan learns the intimate details of three (four? five?) years of Dunder Mifflin drama. That sort of conversation tends to lose me re: believability, so I like how you handled that here.
Author's Response: thank you for your feedback! i am in constant fear of writing a character as a mary sue (or marty sue - whatever) so i wanted dan to have his own thing. however i see him as such a nosey bastard - so even though he's got his personal angst, he cannot help but intrude. and although jim is starstruck, he's not really willing to spill it all... anyway, all of this rambling is meant to say: thank you. i agree with your analysis. that was what i was going for :)

Is that even a real person? I've heard of Allen Iverson so I guess mentioning them both at the same time means he shoots hoops too.
This was good. I like the way Jim went back and forth between his romantic angst and his fan-boy excitement over talking to Dan. Nicely done!
Author's Response: andre iguodala is a real person - although i have to confess to not really knowing him. allen iverson used to play for the sixers, iguodala is considered the new iverson - i figured jim would be interested. and i continue to sit in the corner knowing zilch about sports :) thanks for the feedback! it was my first SN fic. i figure, start slow.
