Hey there, it's been a long time since I've read this story, but I'm back in "Office" mode again, and I came back to see if you've finished it. Unfortunately, you stopped just when it was getting good! Believe me, I completely understand that real life tends to get in the way, but I'm really looking forward to the conclusion of this story!

I miss your story. I hope you are going to let us know how Jim's parents are doing. Will he ever get hold of his brother? And, of course, now that he and Pam are {finally!!!} on the same page, how will this relationship progress?
Your story has been consistently amazing, I look forward to seeing what you have planned next!

So I just read the most recent chapter again, and it reminded why I love this story so much. I really hope you're still planning to finish it. These two need a happy ending and I'd like more fluff. :)
Author's Response: Thank you! I'm still hoping to finish. I'm up to chapter 30 for revisions. So, soon I'll be to the point of needing to actually be creative and write something new!

'k. I just read around 16 chapters tonight (ahhh, it's been a very great night!). And I've been spoiled because I've been about to hit the "next" button at the end of every chapter. Til this one. *sigh*
I'm glad Pam and Mrs Halpert are getting along. I'm glad that Jim and his dad have kind of made peace (all I really know is Dad said I'm sorry, but surely he woke up and Jim apologizzed too). And I'm glad Pam confessed, and Jim responded simply with 'I do love you.' That was perfect.
I'm certain you can write smut. DISCLAIMER: I really don't know if you can write smut. But I'd sure like to read it. If you stay away from phrases like "his throbbing 8 inches", make the sex good for both of them, and maybe throw in a touch of laughter, you won't go wrong.
Looking forward to Chapter 42 (wow!).
Author's Response: Thanks for the flurry of reviews! Still not confident about the smut part but I can assure you, IF I atttempt it, there will be NO measurements, mentions of turgidity etc!

This chapter made me cry too.

yup, total cold shower there.

I was wrong! This was a happy chapter!
Date: May 16, 2011 05:58 pm Title: Friday Night
Oh! This chapter made me cry. Those girls made me cry. Man, jim realy has some soul-searching to do after learning all he did.
Ha! I just realized something. On Casino Night, Pam was a bit angry ("Why are you telling me this? What am I supposed to do with this?") and thrown for a loop. She had to work it out too (unfortunately he fled while she did it).
Can't wait to click on the next chapter. Though I have a feeling it'll be a few chapters before it gets happier.
aka greys has become my life at ff.net
Author's Response: Wow, I think this is the first time someone's said this chapter made them cry! I'm glad you enjoyed it. PM'd you at ff!

Okay it's been like a month! Wheres more!
Date: March 18, 2011 06:28 pm Title: Prologue
Yay! You're back! Just read three new chapters. This made my week. I love Pam talking to a "sleeping" Jim. I teared up and got the same feeling that I got at the end of season three. I urge you not to feel required to have a steamy sex scene. Many of the great love stories of all time didn't need it (including J&P's love on "The Office"). But what ever course you take, I'll be right there! Thanks again so much for listening to Picasso!
Author's Response: Oh! You're back, too! I missed this review. Glad to see you're still out there. You're one of the folks I was feeling like I let down by not finishing. I'm revising the existing chapters to get myself back in the groove to write the last few. Still haven't given up the ghost.

Hi, I've been lurking for several months but I had to create an account so I could leave you a review. I love this story so, SO much and I'm so excited to see what happens next. I'm so thrilled with the plot advancement in the last two chapters and I keep re-reading them because they are so wonderful! But now I really, really want to know what happens next! Please updates soon! I'm not above begging. :)
Author's Response: Thanks, TunaEveryNight! You have no idea how exciting it is for an author to read the words I created an account to leave a review... Thanks so very much.
I'm a bit OBE right now but I definitely will be coming back to this story.
Date: February 26, 2011 06:00 pm Title: Prologue
Glad to see this story is still going strong - the latest updates have been just as great as always!
Author's Response: Thanks a lot!

AHHHHHH! Thank you so much for messaging me to let me know you were still updating--I haven't been visiting here frequently at all! And what a few great updates to read; feelings! The sharing of feelings! The clearing up of some misunderstandings! Progress toward a brighter future! Love it!

Miss your updates, love the story, I was so glad when you started up again. fingers crossed you are not trapped under a writers block ;)
Author's Response: A bit OBE right now. I'll get the next one up as soon as I can. (TWSS!)

i began reading this story sometime in late 2008 or early 2009. I came back to it in January of 2010 and found twice as many chapters as when I'd first read it. Then i looked for updates on it every so often, but it stayed the way it was. 36 chapters. And then i stopped checking. My other obsessions overtook my Office obsession, but more recently a love of a certain couple on Glee (KLAINE!) led me back to fanfiction. But I got bored with Glee fanfics after a month or two and thus i came back here to my beloved JAM fics... well to be more specific, THIS beloved JAM fic, the only one whose name I remember from my days of Jim and Pam obsession. I clicked on the title and then went over to the scroll box to see how many chapters there were thinking over and over "not 36, not 36, not 36" and then the magical number 41 was at the bottom. I was ecstatic. So i reread the entire story (not because i'd forgotten it, since I would never forget such an amazing story as this one) but because I love it so much, and the 5 newest chapters are no exception. This story is amazing. It has always been and will always be my favorite Office fanfic, if not my favorite fanfic from any fandom. I'm so happy that Jim and Pam finally got together here and in such a perfect way. The writing is amazing and everything is so completely in character, it's crazy. This review honestly doesn't have much more of a point than to simply say thank you. Thank you so much for this fic, and thank you so much for updating it. This really has made my week amazing, seeing more of this. You have no idea how much this means to me. Seriously... Thank you.
Author's Response: hermyfan, I hardly know what to say after such an enthusiastic review! Thank you so very much. You have no idea how much a review like that means to me! I'll be working on #42 as soon as I can.
Date: February 16, 2011 08:06 pm Title: You Love Me
Oh mom, Halpert! Amazing timing you have, I, also have a mom and firmly believe that there is a parent chip that means that if it is an awful time to call, they will!
Pam's confession! That chapter was great. Jim is sooo the bestest, love that he knew that he should just be quiet and let Pam get her confession out. Pam's thoughts about how much she enjoyed pretending she belonged to Jim, and her plea to him to just love her again, heartbreaking!
But, oh happy day! There is no longer any need to pretend, Karen cut him free and Jim loves her back! That last chapter was definitely getting warmer!
So now, I really want to know, WHAT DID PAM HAVE WRITTEN ON JIM'S RING!?!? (you don't think I've forgotten, do you?)
And your three quick chapters deserve a triple cheer! Thanks for keeping this one going.
Author's Response: Oh, Aivilo, I promise I haven't forgotten the ring! I maybe should've saved the last chapter for a little while b/c I don't have the next one done yet and have a bunch of RL stuff that must take precedence right now ... like working on my resume, b/c my team lead has found a new job and he's kind of my sanity in this nutty place where I work. He's going to spend an evening here at work with me this week and help me beef it up a bit, so I need to get on that. Wish me luck!
Date: February 15, 2011 02:02 pm Title: The Phone Call
Re-reviewing like a dork, but I'm reading this all the way through again. Just wanted to say "Hi!" I had forgotten it was set in DC (my hometown), which is always super fun to read about ;)
Author's Response:
I didn't know your city was DC? Are you from there or do you live there now? I live about an hour outside.
Glad to have you back!! I'll be interested to hear what you think of all the new chapters that were posted since you left us. (Not so much medical stuff, you'll be happy to see... I remember you never liked that aspect of the story so much.)
Date: February 15, 2011 06:36 am Title: You Love Me
I'll never hate you (unless you abandon this story and delete it from the archives. But you would never do that, right?)
I know I'm in the minority here, but I think I'm the only one who doesn't need more 'action' (just for the record.) I'm sure I'll just skim over those parts, anyway :)
I'm assuming Larissa is calling to ask Pam to bring something to her... everything is fine with her, right?
I hope the next chapter is on its way soon. pleasepleaseplease
Author's Response:
I promise I won't delete the story from the archive! And I'm going to finish it. I'm not promising dates anymore though. :-)
I'm mulling over the next chapter. Hope to write this weekend.
How's the computer working now?
Date: February 15, 2011 06:26 am Title: On the Advice of Pablo Picasso…
Well, that's one way for her to get all her thoughts out. I was hoping she would talk to him face to face instead of to his sleeping form, but at least she said what she needed to. And she really needed to! Jim really is patient when it comes to her, huh? He's so great :)
Oh, and this story's not too bad, either. ;) lol
Author's Response: Thanks! They will definitely talk face to face also, now that the ice has been broken.
Date: February 15, 2011 06:15 am Title: Being With Someone
Ann, you're so wonderful! I hope this writing bug stays with you and you see this through to the end; many of us will be here with you!
That's funny Pam thought Jim might have been gay. I understand Larissa's anger and I'm glad she was able to get past it enough to talk to Pam, instead of acting cold and pushing her away.
Author's Response:
I'm glad you liked my little twist there on why Pamela was so slow on the uptake about Jim.
More will be forthcoming...
Date: February 14, 2011 04:57 pm Title: You Love Me
Hey Ann,
Thanks so much for sending me that message! I actually have been checking the archive from time to time, so I did read the latest chapters. Thanks so much for continuing to update, I love when authors get back to old stories they'd almost forgotten about. Sorry I didn't leave a review, school gets hectic and I sort of read and ran. Now I feel a little guilty... Anyways, thanks again for picking this back up again, and I'm really looking forward to seeing how you continue this. Cardiac Care has been one of my favorite stories for a long time! I just love the way you write Jim and Pam. :)
Again, thanks so much for reaching out to me, it's so sweet of you to have sent me that message, it made me so happy to have been remembered. Happy Valentine's Day (and happy writing)!
Claire, or PMH
Author's Response: You're welcome. I was looking over old reviews last week and noticed that names kind of come and go in waves. There were some readers whose reviews really kept me going when I'd periodically lose interest in continuing the story. And I felt bad that I'd let down the people who used to come to MTT faithfully but now don't anymore. I know the notification feature hasn't worked in forever, so I figured a bunch of people just think I'm a slacker who never finished what she started. So I sent a message to a few people who have the same name on the archive and the discussion boards. I felt kinda weird about it but I figured that people who used to leave a lot of reviews might actually be interested in reading the rest of the story ... if they knew there WAS a rest of the story! I'm glad you've still been enjoying.

Great chapter. I am so glad that everything is out in the open now. I think I had been yelling at them for awhile just to tell each other. Whew. I really loved the chapter. Can't believe Mrs. Halpert interrupted. She has impeccable timing.
Author's Response:
Don't parents always have that impeccable timing? My parents used to call me at the MOST INOPPORTUNE times!
I know it seems like the kids have been stupid with each other forever but, really, it's only been about three story days. (Analogous to dog years?)

Um, YAY!
I could be blunt and say that it's about time that the story was updated.
I could be kissing up and saying that what you've added was everything I could expect and I'm aching for more.
I also could be very grateful that miracles can occur because after I got your message after eons/months of waiting, I seriously did a celebratory happy dance.
So keep up the good work and get to writing!
Author's Response: Yeah, you would've known a long time ago that the story had been updated if the notification feature was working. I think you've missed the last coupla rounds of updates. I'll be writing...
Date: February 13, 2011 03:02 pm Title: You Love Me
AH! the moment I've been waiting for (well, one of ;)) this was really just, superb. I really can't wait to read more. I can see why you didn't just have them hop into the sheets right here, it's not the right time for that. Love it, obviously you know this by now. I have every confidence you can write that sort of stuff, go for it! And congrats on 700 reviews! (701 now once I hit submit)
Author's Response: Thanks, Deedldee! I'm so glad you enjoyed the chapter. And, holy cow - over 700 reviews! I never in a MILLION years would have foreseen this when I started this story ... back when the dinosaurs roamed.
