Ooh - you get a Dundie for most thrilled curiosity!! Way to juxtapose the angst with the bliss...now, you have GOT to post the next chapter pronto! Begging you here, really.
Author's Response:
Thanks, MintChocolateChip!
I have a wee tiny bit of bad news here, though. I was not able to finish the next chapter today and I am leaving tomorrow and won't have any access to a compter for ... almost a week. It'll probably be next Monday or Tuesday before I can post the next chapter.

No! You get the dundie for shortest and sweetest chapter ever. Short and sweet is the best way to go, you know? I thought this was very cute and I like how they are finally getting to relax! :)
Author's Response:
I'm only 5'1", so I definitely subscribe to the theory that short and sweet is the best way to go!
Thanks a lot!

!!! I loved this chapter! I can't wait to read the next one. I thought the dialouge was great between jim and pam in the bed. I did think that Angie's was a bit stereotyped but don't take that the wrong way I totally know what you were going for. Great job!
Author's Response: You know I loved this chapter and was really surprised that it got so many fewer reviews than the other recent ones. Goes to show the value of an editor/beta. I don't have one. I think Angie was so over the top it distracted from the rest of the chapter. I've done one quick revision. I will probably do another revision later. I know most people won't go back and re-read it but it'll be a better product.

Yea Spooning!!
Author's Response: Yeah. Who wouldn't love to wake up all wrapped up in Jim?

Short but oh so sweet! Love it.
Author's Response: Thank you!

Wow, I didn't even realized you had updated again. I savored this chapter. The sweet image of them finally getting the rest and peace they need in each others arms was perfect. I cannot wait for more.
Author's Response: Yep. Snuck one in on ya there! I thought everyone needed a breather from all the tension.

P.S. God, I love this story.

Such a tease, VB. Such a gorgeous picture you've painted. How ever did they get there? You're not going to pull the rug out from under me, are you? I've been so loyal. *NanReg flashes puppy dog eyes*
Author's Response:
Yes, NanReg, I must say you are officially the loyalest of loyalists! I don't think I'm about to pull the rug out from under you – but, if I do, I promise to put it back!

VB, I can't even beging to express how amazing this story is. This chapter and the last--you've outdone yourself. And I've got another update to read! Life is really good, my friend : )
Author's Response: Thanks, NanReg! I'm SO glad you liked these chapters. Hope you had a good weekend!

VB, I've been out of town and came back to three chapters! Just read the first, and it was magnificent. Really. And so long!!!!! I'm thrilled : ) (I know, I know...TWSS) ; )
Jim sat alone at the table, guilty thoughts and bitter memories rolling in an endless loop through his mind, feeling judged and wrong – but not wrongly judged. MAN, that was good! I see no room for improvement in this chapter. So excited to read the rest...
Author's Response:
NanReg, you've got me blushing over here! Magnificent? Thrilled? No room for improvement?
You have officially made my night! Thank you so, so much!

oh, thank goodness. the last chapter really got to me so i am so happy for this! now please make the happy last. at least for a little while...
Author's Response: I'm glad to hear the last chapter got to you. I'm starting to think I really screwed the pooch on that one. No promises on the happy lasting right now. But I'm sure that whatever I come up with won't be as angsty as the last two.

I love this! I agree it was a bit of a tease and I really do hope we find out what was said (and done) the night before.
However, Pam waking up in Jim's arms, no one crying, no one yelling, and peaceful sleeping are all reasons to forgive you for a short chapter. ;)
Author's Response: Thanks, lpy4704. I'm glad I'm forgiven!

You can't leave it like that. I wish we got to see the rest of their conversation from the night before...if there was more. I really can't wait for the next chapter.
Author's Response: I think you double-clicked the submit button. I've done that, too.

Oh, I love the image! Can't wait to see what happens when they wake up :)
Author's Response: Hi, JITC! Thanks very much. ...You do realize there will be more medical stuff when they're back in the hospital, right? You'll cut me some slack? :-)

You can't leave it like that. I wish we got to see the rest of their conversation from the night before...if there was more. I really can't wait for the next chapter.
Author's Response: Thanks! The next one isn't even started, so I'm afraid this next post will take a few days...

Hey, length isn't everything...er... well you know what I mean. Nice imagery, though. Morning should be interesting :)
Author's Response: Well, that elicited a chuckle out of me! Thanks.

Aw, this is a short chapter, but very sweet. I got my accidental late night cuddling! Now I hope Jim doesn't get all 'oh my god sorry' so that Pam is like 'oh man why does Jim hate me all the time' because I don't know if my heart can take it. I think it's time for a real talk! Or at least a little slightly fluffy slightly angsty awkwardness :)
Author's Response:
OK, deerinthepark ... I gave you your wish ... now you have to give me mine! Where's my chapter of Acting on Impulse?? Still waiting for a response on that request!
And, thanks! I'm glad you liked my three paragraph chapter!

Short and sweet -- who doesn't love a little nocturnal snuggling.
I wonder if Jim will wake up with the guys' common uh, condition....
Author's Response: Thanks! Hmm ... hadn't really planned on the morning condition but we'll see...

Wow, its kindof all out there, now, yeah? I mean, Jim knows, right? But does Pam...or does she think he's over him because of Karen??
Author's Response:
Hmm ... not quite sure what Pam thinks? We will have to see ...

I feel like my last few comments could have come off as a tad abrasive. I hope you know that I am totally kidding about hurrying to put up more chapters and the disappointment in the length of your last chapter. I love your story! It's awesome!
Author's Response: Oh, no – you haven't come off as abrasive in the LEAST! I've been enjoying your comments and good-natured needling. I knew it was all in fun!
Date: July 20, 2008 10:53 am Title: She Felt Whole
You do win a Dundie for that. Also, a dundie for being one to cause such excitment and disappointment all at once! Excitement for an update...disappointment for the length. But seriously though. This story is great. You're doing a great job and even though it's short it's still a great chapter!
Author's Response: Thanks, Jinxcoke! I know it's incredibly short but I wanted this little vignette to stand on its own without any other events to distract from the mood.

Loved Pam's "so which of my at work crying jags?" confession! Can't wait for more! And you're right-- Aussies are the kindest, goodest-hearted folks ever!
Author's Response: Thanks, tellsomebodyit!

To be honest, I think the Australian slang here is a little distracting; I have friends from near Sydney and I've never heard them use most of these. It seems a bit overly stereotyped I guess; just a little something that annoyed me.
Other than that, another great chapter. This really is one of my favorite stories, so . I liked the earlier chapters a little better, but I'm still enjoying this a lot! I think Jim and Pam are being a little overly frustrating at this point, and the misinterpretations are getting a little Three's Company for me. I like the angst and the misunderstandings, but they still have have to be subtle!
Sorry for all the criticisms, but I only say them because this is really one of my favorite stories on here and I thought you could take it :) Really looking forward to the next chapter, and hoping for a little accidental nighttime cuddling...
Author's Response: Thanks, deerinthepark, for the honest feedback. Will take your criticisms under advisement as I write future chapters. And, yes, I can take the ciriticism. If a writer can't take some constructive critiques, they shouldn't show their work to anyone!
