I'm not sure if you're still around (I'm a little late to the MTT party!) but if you are: wow! This was fantastic. I loved all the echoes of canon events and how they fit into the story you told. This was gorgeous and had just the right balance of angst and sexual tension and fluff :)

THIS may just be my vey favorite of all the fanfics I have read! I have read many, probably almost all of your stories and I have to say, NO ONE does gut wrenching angst the way you do! I mean, sometimes when I read you works I seriously feel so drained, and certain ones I have to skim A LOT of te chapters when I re read them because my heart just cannot take it again. (Thinking of Only I think that's the name... I ADORE that one... well, especially the latter parts) Please understand, in saying that I'm not criticizing, you just REALLY bring it out SO well! That said, I'm normally able to read this without skimmng, it's just so AMAZING and it truly catches Roy exactly as I picture him to be, so clueless that his relationship is falling apart in front of him and completely ignoring Pam when she clearly states her wants, no, don't have Jim drive me home, and needs, Roy, if you leave I won't be here when you get back. This story is at the top of my favorites mentally because I LOVE how you cut out the parts hat were the biggest problems, Jim's confession came with much more time before the wedding so it wasn't as much of a panic and a much bigger deal was that Jim was still there after his confession, as uncomfortable as it was for them, it allowed Pam time to really begin to see things clearly and bigger yet in my mind he was there when she needed to start picking up the piecex of the life that HE had essentially shattered. Too bad you don't write for the show!! ::::sigh:::: Seriously, I know I will be rereading this plenty more times in the future. You are truly talented and have an amazing way with words! Thanks for writing a great story and the many other great stories you have written as well!

OOOOOOOHHHHHHHHHH MMMMMMMMYYYYYYYY GGGGGOOOOOOODDDDDDDDD! i expected jim and pam to end up together in this story, no doubt, but you've fulfilled my every fantasy with this chapter. seriously i'm feeling like jim now, everything is perfect in his world now that's he's engaged to pam.
okay, i don't want to abuse this perfection in any way, but i do want to say that this has literally and honestly been the best story i've ever read. i've said that so many times but i didn't really mean it until now. (wow i feel like i'm professing my love jim-style to this story. but then again, i am.)
this is just that amazing. congrats on the most perfect story ever, and pass that on to starrydreamer as well!

i love you... and this story is amazing! got it? good. this was the best chapter ever. about two chapters ago, in the far back reaches of my brain i was thinking, darn this is slow. but then i realized, after i kept getting up from my computer being distracted, that it was a really good thing. sometimes it's better to read the story in doses, so that you can take it all in, and digest it in pieces. also, you never fail to include such juicy bits of emotion, feeling, detail and description, so all in all, i should just suck it up and be grateful for such long, well-written chapters.

that is one of the best chapters i've read of any story in my entire life. i copy and pasted it to a word document and printed it out so i could take it with me in the bathroom. (you didn't need to know that) i loved it that much. this must had so much, as you put it, raw emotion, i loved that way you said that. because it's so true, this is what jim and pam clearly have going on between them, and even though they try to resist it, they keep coming back to each other, because that's just who they are. you have so effortlessly captured every bit of that and more into you stories. this is incredible!

I didn't realize this was the end because there's another "next" and then kind of a blank chapter; it's weird. There are two Chapter 21s listed on the chapter pull-down menu...
I love in this chapter how his Casino Night confession becomes a different sort of confession, one that I think he could blurt out in just the same way as the confession of canon. Very cool.
