I just found this and read all the way through. And enjoyed it thoroughly. This last chapter was especially good - great, in-character dialogue, nice build up of tension...very believable as AU S2 (if only). Now, what's this I hear about smut? ;-)

Ooh, I am loving the S2 fic that is popping up lately! And Jim is no more of a jerk in Ch. 3 than he was in the episode -- which is worse, to get dumped while stuck out on a boat, or to be led along and be allowed to stay over when his heart is somewhere else?

Just read chapters 3 & 4--loved them. And, hey--don't worry about updating too fast. I can assure you that, for me at least, it's greatly appreciated. When the updates take too long, I think the story loses momentum. I wind up having to re-read prior chapters to get up to speed.

This is a very unique idea. I sense consequences. Oh the angst and fun that shall follow. I'm glad you made a foray into fic! You're pretty good (much better than some other first timers...I include myself in that. I was so ashamed of my first fic I deleted it. Awful.)
