This was really good. Poor Toby. I'm glad he got a more favorable response to the pink bunny then he did with the last stuffed animal he got from a claw machine.

Ryan/Karen seem to be the more popular fic pairing, but I always thought Karen/Toby might be more interesting (maybe cause I like Toby more, lol?) Just more subtle and emotionally nuanced - and I think you've written a small delicate moment here that captures that. Very nicely done. (And what a great description of Karen's hair like vinyl raincoats too.)
Author's Response: Yeah that may be it ;) Ryan/Karen has always struck me as the more obvious of the two, but there's something about the fact that Toby and Karen have the shared bond of loosing the people they want. Thank you so much!
