I'm so glad I stayed up to watch Steve Carell on Letterman and decided to check this site before going to sleep! This chapter was great. Your Jim and Franny scenes are just wonderful. He's definitely her dad in all the ways that count. And Jim's right, Franny shouldn't have to be so afraid about calling him Daddy while around Pam, or anyone else. They need to get married already. I hope Pam's really pregnant. That would be a great way to end this story. Oh, and a wedding too! I'm getting sad that this story is coming to an end, but I've enjoyed each and every chapter!

I love this story - it feels so real in a way. I'm sorry you've said we're nearing the end because I could probably read this forever, and I will defo be reading this a second time.
There's a strange hard-to-explain atmosphere that was apparent from the start and held all the way through while developing and changing with the characters, whom have stayed true to the show itself.
Can't wait for the last few chapters, although like I said I'd read this forever and I think you should blast out more and more and more... oh well

Author's Response: I honestly wish I could continue it forever, but not to worry, I'll make the epilogue nice and lengthy so you won't have to wonder what will happen in the future. And the atmosphere you can't explain... neither can I, but I know what you mean.

Oh...my...goodness. You had me absolutely bawling when Jim was going through Megan's stuff with Sue. Also, midway through the chapter I was starting to feel sorry for Roy which is a feeling I never wanted to feel for him. But I absolutely loved how you tied in Roy's eternal love for Pam with Jim's eternal love for Megan. You have given these characters so much depth and I can never wait until a new chapter comes out! Thank you!
Author's Response: I feel sort of accomplished now... made you cry and made you feel some sympathy for Roy all in one chapter! Seriously though I cried while writing the Jim and Sue part.

Every new chapter of this story makes me love it more. I love the respect and detail you give to the lives Pam and Jim each had before they met and I love how each character deals with these pasts and all their repercussions so realistically. I really enjoyed what you did with Roy in this chapter. He's a coward, knows it, and has decided leaving could be the best thing he could do. His final note and gift to Pam and Franny was touching, but his final scene with Jim was really wonderful. I also appreicated all of Pam's worries and insecurities about the house and I like how Jim resolved it. I also liked how Jim resolved his love that remains for his wife and his love that grows with Pam and Franny. His scene with Megan's mother was so lovely. I'll be incredibly sad to see it end and I look forward to whatever comes next.
Author's Response: Thanks albie_, I have unhealthy attachment to the Jim and Pam in my story. I have a ridiculous amount of back-story that didn't make it into the first few chapters, and I sometimes have to remind myself not to mention. I really appreciate that you commented on all of the parts of the chapter. I was worried that people would think I was trying to give Roy an excuse, but you took it exactly the way I hoped readers would.

First of all, shower sex? MAKE it work, Pam! Good stuff, the Roy wrap up. I can see where he would feel inadequate with the way he's making a living, compared to Pam's going to college and her family giving him a hard time about giving her the life they feel she deserves. A lot of pressure on him. (But still not right what he did.) Loved how Jim behaved with him in the bar. Poor Pam, realizing Roy was planning to leave her way before he actually did. Yes Mr. Beesley, Jim is a keeper. And Jim and Megan's mother, just brought tears to my eyes. Closure, that's what Jim needed and now that he has it and has opened up to Pam about his life with Megan, I'm happy. :) Bring on the anti-angst! Love, love, love this story italianfood.

(I am still reading and review as I go a few chapters at a time.) Such a sweet moment of Franny on Jim's chest. It was so perfect. When Jim and Pam finally "hook-up" I thought it was cool how he could not keep his hands off of her. I am glad that you did not prolong their physical connection, I think it was invetiable that they were going to be together, and I am glad that you followed the natural progression of their "relationship" in the story. It seems that our poor Jim is going to pull back from Pam in the next chapters.

Just catching up w/ this story. I think bringing Pam and Jim together when they are so sad and depressed is a great premise. The tone of the story is spot on w/ the sadness they are going throught. Especially since I was pleasantly surprised that Pam is working at DM. Looking forward to more.

I know that I'm talking to you right now and I thought about waititng till I was done crying to review, but there is so much about this chapter especially the ending that I can't get off my mind. It was beautifully written and the actions were so mature. I feel like you captured Roy when it comes to his feelings for Pam perfectly and just thinking about that moment with Jim and Megan's mom...I might never stop crying. Just plain wonderful.

I saw this recommended on the forum and I had to give it a try, even not being too big a fan of AU. I'm so glad I did, I couldn't stop reading it last night. What a wonderful story, I loved Jim and his girls and you're doing a great job with the characterization, the voices sound so true. Thank you so much for sharing it, you've taught me to not judge the AU. Can't wait for the next chapter!

Jim, Jim, Jim. Listen to your brother. Although, I do have to agree with Jim: Who wouldn't want to wake up to him every morning? :) Just love that Jim got offended when Jon admitted he wanted his baby to be a boy. Great decision to go back in the office. Love Angela, Kelly and Creed. I can just see all of them saying and doing what they did. So many great lines: optimest/pessimest; the christening gown; the odds on who Michael would kill; Dwight's interrogation, and poor Franny's reaction; how Kelly thinks Pam could use a new purse. (Can you tell I really liked their being in the office?) I would have liked to learn more about Roy's decision to leave. I know he could see there was no room for him in Pam's life now, but would have liked to have read his thoughts, and maybe an apology to her. Am glad he's gone though. Can't wait to hear how things work out with them all living in MEGAN's HOUSE. I feel some angst coming.
