I can't wait to see how Pam reacts to the Plan.  I'm so happy that Jim finally see what is putting Pam off.  i just hope that Pam gets herself together.  I loved the last three lines of this chapter:

instead of saying God, Sunshine, how much have you missed my hot body? he says “Morning, Pam.”  And she does a double take. And that is just oh, so satisfying.

Brilliant.

This story is just so intriguing and well written.  I love that you're able to update so quickly.  I just reread everything and I love how the two of them are gradually lowering their defenses around each other.  This snarky Jim is so funny, and I want to know how come every time Pam thinks about Jim, he shows up.  That never works for me.  Oh, and I agree with Jim.  The bandaid business was totally hot.  Keep ratcheting up that Sexual Tension, SG!

Stablergirl, I just re-read this whole story and I will seriously go into full fledged withdrawal symptoms if you don't update soon. So much goodness, seriously. You have a gift. God's honest truth. ;-)

oh, I'm loving The Plan! Good luck to Jim on this, lol. I just realized I haven't commented in a few chapters. Shame on me! This story is getting better and better. I'll never look at a beef 'n chedder the same again ;)
I'm loving how confused Jim is about everyting. But please let us know what's going on in Pam's head soon!
Can't wait for more!

Gah! I mean, thank the dear and fluffy lord that there was a Chapter 12 update -- and so quickly! -- but I'm DYING for more Jim/Pam interaction. Like literally dying. Expiring. Coming to the end of my ability to shuffle the mortal coil. Got it? DYING!

I mean, Jim's plan is brilliant and I have to give him major props for finally recognizing what it is about himself that is so off-putting to Pam and realizing that he's got to cut that crap out if he wants to have a shot in hell. So kudos to him! But seeing him put the plan into action will be SO delicious.

OH -- and I LOVED really getting to know alterna Dwight (who does kind of resemble Rainn Wilson in my estimation). I particularly enjoyed how he ribbed Jim about his thing for a "prostitute" and then his nonsensical dating advice to get Jim's attention and then how he was quietly supportive of Jim's pursuit of Pam. Something tells me he knew Jim had a thing for Pam before Jim did. :-) And is it silly how tickled I am by the thought of the two of them hanging out and playing Mario Kart?

Well, I suppose that despite my impending demise, I can at least rest assured that an update will be coming shortly because as you've told us (not to mention demonstrated thoroughly) that you don't sleep. For that, I am kind of ridiculously grateful right now.

It's kind of crazy how much I've grown to love this story. LOVE IT. Can't wait for Chapter 13!

Oh this is going in so many delicious directions. I want Pam to totally mistrust his motives-- because really, he's not yet thinking beyond the immediate gratification- he'snot yet realixing WHY it has to be Pam, and that dawn of realization for both of them is going to be SO entertaining. Because of the fighting. And the hot. hot. sex.

Okay, my husband's going to be home any minute, so I must make this brief: I just inhaled all 12 chapters -- like, inhaled them in that barely-catching-details-but-freaking-out-because-it's-so-damned-good way.  And I will go back and review each chapter; I just wanted to say for now that I'm absolutely enthralled with this!  Such a freaking brilliant premise, and the characters you give us here - while so different from the Jim & Pam we all know & love -- are so real and fully developed and...wow.

There are about a gazillion lines I'd love to quote, but a few that made me guffaw out loud: the guys barking in the bar (struck me as so funny); the description of the kiss as a 'Tell your Aunt Edna and Uncle Sal I said hi' kind of kiss (freaking brilliant description, that), and Jim thinking she was looking at him like he'd just confessed he sometimes sends people bombs in the mail.  ?!?!!?  So freaking awesome.

My last little point before I shut the hell up: I had to sort of snap myself out of the world you so effectively create here in order to leave a review -- and when you can't shake the sense of being in an alternate universe even after you've stopped reading, you KNOW what you've read is brilliant.

Guh.  :o) If I could, I'd send you a shirtless Eliott Stabler as a thank you present.

Excellent recall of the soap she bought in the grocery store- Palmolive on purpose!
I'm sensing softning here-- where's the "hotstility" going? I think they still need a big angsty blow-up.

What's the penis count for this chapter?
So curious about Jim's journey to her doorstep with eggs-- but I like it better that it was a surprise.
And, who DOESN'T think about Jim during sex?!?

also, i hope they get down to business. soon. please?

Intuitive Dwight! 32.5%! "...it’s definitely going to work. It might work. It could feasibly work." Just a few bits I love about this chapter. I think Jim may be onto something - good luck with Plan A/P, kid!

Thank you for not being all Puritan about meaningless sex- cause, really- it is pretty realistic. Although, I think that he would have been sufficiently (sp?) freaked out by just thinking about Pam... but saying her name out loud is pretty damn funny. Talk about awkward.

I hope Pam's not getting too soft on him... not til the angsty angry sexual tension gets to build a little more. Don't be afraid of the angry sex Stablergirl!!! It wants to be written about!

The coolest thing about these characters dynamic is the vulnerablity that they feel in front of the other. The defenses are up, because for the first time they are dealing with an equal and that throws them off their game. I love that you can convey all that insecurity.

How can this keep getting better?  It's a mystery!

I especially love the way you handle Jim's self doubt:

The point is he has a Plan now and it’s definitely going to work. It might work. It could feasibly work.

…he’d felt something, anyway, and he was sure she did too. Or, pretty sure. Like thirty three percent sure. Thirty two percent, maybe. Thirty two point five.

What can I say, you have a gift!  So glad you shared and gave this to all of us!

Another winner, Bobby (Ok, that's a total guy sports movie reference that I blame my husband for . . . sorry). Anyway, here are my favorite bits:

  • Or, pretty sure. Like thirty three percent sure. Thirty two percent, maybe. Thirty two point five.
  • instead of saying God, Sunshine, how much have you missed my hot body? he says “Morning, Pam.” And she does a double take. And that is just oh, so satisfying.
  • Other people are themselves all the time, so it can’t be impossible.
  • A ‘tell your Aunt Edna and Uncle Sal I said hi’ kiss.
Also, love your Dwight. He's Dwight-esque, but also cool ;-) Keep going, girl!
