Well...I'm supposed to be working, but I'm sitting here at my computer crying. I am impressed at how well you understand the tensions within a marriage when something terrible like this happens. Some marriages don't survive it. I know you won't let that happen to Pam and Jim, but you definitely show the tension and pain and isolation that couples go through. I am so torn reading such a sad story but you are doing such a great job I just can't stop. The thought of any mom and dad going through this is heartbreaking. I definetely need a happy ending.

Interesting. I had a little trouble figuring out the timing, but then I was able to. (It's the slowness of Kevs everywhere, I guess. ;))

How sad. Well-written, though. I'm not sure why people think Jim's being a jerk (regarding Chapter 1 reviews); a grief like this would be terrible, and his reaction in general I think is realistic.
And I'm not going anywhere near that site. I breathed an enormous sigh of relief when all my children were past the age where they could die of SIDS, and I have no interest in putting myself through that. It's bad enough thinking about all the other things that could happen to them. You mentioned in this chapter "a parent's endless love," but of course we also have a constant fear.

This just makes me heart hurt. My aunt and uncle had a stillborn baby, Adam, when I was 8 and even though we love my other cousins, you can tell they still miss him every day. Just excellent work with the utter sadness.

Ok, I really want to continue reading this but I think it may be too much. We had a 6 year old family member die suddenly last month. This is just hitting a little close to home...

I never knew much about SIDS and after I did my research I was so terrified and heartbroken. This was the only way I could think to get rid of those feelings and I'm so glad that people are responding well to it.
