Such a cute, and perfect chapter! Can't wait for more!

Author's Response: Thanks so much. You didn't have to wait long...I just updated with another chapter. Thanks again for your review!

Aw - big squeeful AAAWWWW for the message he wrote her! Can't wait for more, and the heat!

Author's Response: Glad you liked the message. I was afraid it would come off a bit cheesy and not enough, if you know what I mean. I sure do appreciate your review and hope that you like future chapters of my little story.

Damn you, Mel. You are the world's biggest bitch. I go on and on about how I have an exam to study for, papers to write, things to memorize, and you choose TONIGHT to update this story, knowing it has a gravitational pull on my soul. As soon as I saw the update, I was helpless, and I devoured the whole thing like chocolate covered cherries (NOTE: I do not really think you're a bitch or damnable, obviously).

I just love this story. There's such a unique element of creativity to it (no surprise since you're the author), and I am having such fun watching it unfold. That being said, I can't wait to see what you're building up to. Obviously our boy is gonna get his act together and come out with his feelings, and I just can't wait to see it all go down.

I especially enjoyed this: Jim spent a lot of time thinking about Roy and trying to decide if the guy was really an insensitive jerk, or just a well-intentioned guy who wasn’t aware of the effects of his words and the things he did or didn’t do. It would be easy to see him as a caricature of the villain on a Lifetime movie, but, as he told himself over and over again…Pam saw something worth loving in him despite all of his flaws. Though Roy sometimes made his blood boil, it was for that reason that he usually bit his tongue and let Pam handle things just as she was at that moment.

It's too easy to paint Roy as a villain, and I like how you avoid it with such stealthy skill. Well done, and as always, can't wait for more!! --CH

Author's Response: I'm evil, aren't I. I knew you were studying and yet I updated providing you a reason to procrastinate. I'm a horrible, horrible person and an underhandedly evil teacher.  So glad you liked this and that you liked my little bit of Roy. I know we've talked before in reviews about him, but I really do have a soft spot for the big lug. My inspiration? Your portrayal of him in both your class reunion fic and All-Inclusive.  Thanks so much for your review...now go study (and ignore the new chapter I just put up).

Sorry I'm a little late in getting back to this, but I'm here now! :D

Have I mentioned how much I love this story of yours? You've tackled the idea of Jim and Pam dealing with the realities of being documented before--and done a great job, I might add--but this particular one is really resonating with me. I think it's the format that I like so much; the way you've couched their story inside the context of a grad student's thesis and the "formal" documents and transcripts that seem so sterile and make such a nice counterpoint to the richness of Jim and Pam's actual lives.

I have to say that this chapter in particular made me laugh. I've always liked the idea of Jim and Pam giving each other lists of words to work into their vocabulary throughout the day (in fact, Wendy Blue and I dabbled ever so briefly in this idea in a story we co-wrote once), because it's just the sort of thing they'd do to alleviate boredom and keep their spirits high.

You're doing such a great job with all this, and I can't wait to see where it's all headed!

Author's Response:

Slaps head! I totally forgot about that wonderful little scene in Things to Do in Scranton When You're Bored. I guess my subconcious held on to it, though.  Thanks so much for the review. I'm so glad you like the documents. I'm having the best time writing them. In fact, they are coming much more easily (TWSS) than the rest of the chapters. I'm sitting on a completed text (including side-bar) of a Jim Halpert interview in Scranton Life magazine. I just can't post it yet, because the action that comes with it isn't finished.

Thanks again for the review.

Wow...this is so amazingly inventive, and already has my heart pounding. I didn't realize at the beginning of the chapter that this was taking place at the "beginning" so to speak, when Jim and Pam still weren't a couple.  With that in mind now this is going to be excruciating. I cant wait for that "steam". :-)

Author's Response: I meant to post something saying this was early S2 and I forgot. I'm so thrilled that you are liking this. Thanks so much for your review. The steam will be coming, but it will take just a while. Thanks again for reviewing!

I loved this so much!  Great job with the interview.  Bea Galactica, ha!  Those two kids did a good job with that silly TV host by making a game out of it.  I wonder if it'll get more difficult for them as they become more famous and the questions become less easy to evade.

Author's Response: Oh, EH...it's so great to hear from you and I'm so glad that you are enjoying this. I will give you a slight spoiler...you are right about it getting a bit more uncomfortable for them. Thanks again for your review.

There is so much to love about this story. First of all, YOU deserve a few dozen points for your integration of script and your detailed formatting. Its so hard to not only script, but make it lend to a story instead of taking away, and your doing a masterful job.

I love your characterizations and how awkward Jim and Pam are after someone shined a light on the elephant in the room. I can't wait to read more of this great story.

Author's Response: Wow. Thank you so much, pessimistress. I'm so glad you like the characterizations. As I've said before, it's what I struggle with the most. I hope you enoy future chapters!

GITC -- you rock the meta-fic.  Seriously.

This: a JIM AND PAM MOMENT…analyzed and iconized and digitized over and over again is pure gold.  Oh, S2 UST, you were fun while it lasted...

I love this idea...and I haven't seen this side of the whole documentary thing mentioned before. It's such an interesting take on the premise of the show. Kind of "breaking down the 4th wall" thing. Love it, keep the chapters coming!

So awesome, GiTC. And so worth the wait. I love that Pam and Jim have a sheet of words they dare each other to say in public...because of course they would.

While everything here was great, there were a few lines that stood out to me:

1. She suspected that if the cameras were here, this little tableau would become a JIM AND PAM MOMENT…analyzed and iconized and digitized over and over again. She was glad that she could keep this one for herself.

2. She shrugged off the notion that the friendship that made them such a good team was the reason they had to go through this together in the first place.

3. “I think we can handle anything.”

She was pretty sure that she meant it.

Awesome as always, GiTC. Until next time!

Author's Response: Catie--Thanks so much for your review and I'm so glad that you saw that of course they'd have a list of words. I really do think that as nervous finding out that people thought they liked each other would make both Jim and Pam, they'd both strive for normalcy. Thanks again for your feedback. I'm so appreciative of it.

So happy for the update, GITC.  Hmmm...something tells me that you're lulling me into a false sense of security here.  I'm keeping my guard up.  It must have been surreal for our happy couple to see a montage of their little "moments."  Love how they compiled a list.

Author's Response: Thanks for the review, NanReg.  Am I luring you into a false sense of security? Of course! There has to be angst! I promise it will turn out okay, though. Well, maybe....

I always strive to be your first reviewer, my friend, and it looks like I'm going to succeed again!! I'm so glad you updated this story. It never ceases to amaze me how well you do this reality-reality TV thing. It's as though you, and you alone, have discovered this secret world behind our characters' lives. I simply love every word you put on the page, and your chapters infallibly make me giddy for more. Well done! -CH

Author's Response: Awwww...thanks. I'm so glad you are enjoying reading this and am always delighted to read your feedback.  I'm not sure I'm the only one who has discovered the scret world behind the characters' live (cough ToE) but I really appreciate you saying that.

Oh, man.  This story is addictive!  I love your use of "artifacts" and the examination of Jim and Pam.

Favourite FAVOURITE line so far:

"... she wondered if she should be worried that she felt like it would be a challenge to convince people who didn’t even know her that she was in love with her fiancée instead of her very, best friend."

Wow.  That one blew me away.  Love it!

Author's Response: Thanks so much! I really appreciate you reviewing this story.  I struggle so much with endings to each chapter so I'm very pleased to see you single that out as your fave part. Thanks again for your review!!!

Yikes...I can't imagine being in Jim's position.  The documentary position in this one (actually airing while still being filmed) certainly adds a new dimension.

Why are seasons 1 and 2 such wonderful mines for fic? I love revisiting that time in new ways, and this so far ... is owning me. Thank you.

Author's Response:

Thanks so much for your review. I know what you are saying...I sometimes get lazy and don't review things that I've read.  I love seasons 1 and 2. I'm a sucker for angst and secret love. So glad you are liking it so far and I really do appreciate you taking the time to leave feedback.

Looks like it's not going to disappoint at all (TWSS).  Love the angle you're approaching this with, and you've got Jim's motives for his actions perfect here.  Can't wait for the inevitable drama and angst :)

Author's Response: Oh and there will be drama and angst!  Thanks so much for your review and I'm so glad that you are enjoying it. I'm also pleased to see that Jim is making sense.  Often when I'm writing this stuff (or reading it) I wonder why he didn't just leave...and sooner. I'm so glad you updated this - I think it's such an interesting way to delve into their relationship, through the the eyes of the network and the publicists. The questions were pertinent and the answers were great, and I thought Jim and Pam's phone call was perfect parts angst, discomfort and sweetness. Poor Jim. Poor Pam. It's wonderful.

Author's Response: Thank you so much for your review.  Writing awkward conversation is tough for me because I want to fill it up with words, words and more words and I have to remind myself that less is sometimes more. So, I'm so glad you liked the phone call. Thanks again! I appreciate your feedback.
