When I watch my season 3 dvds I realize that i do like Karen it's just that at the time I wanted pam and jim to be together son badly that i couldn't enjoy her. this chapter helped me fully realize.
Author's Response: Yeah Karen's not bad per se, but she did stand between our two lovebirds and that is enough to dislike her. I wanted to show that she might have really loved Jim the way that Jim loved Pam, but they were obviously star crossed and not meant to be.

First time stopping by to tell you how much I am enjoying this. I was all ready to give it to you about this dinner but you did a great job of keeping Jim true to Pam. I can't see Karen ever being a threat to Jim and Pam and I'm glad you agreed! Great story.
Author's Response: Thank you. I wanted to adress the relationship and show the reason he was with her for so long. Of course Jim would always be true to Pam but their past can never be erased.

1. I love that Jim and Pam were still joking around even though it was sort an angst fest. I mean, that's exactly what Jim would end up doing.
2. When I saw arrested!Ryan the first thing I thought was JIM'S GETTING A PROMOTIONNN, so points for fanfreakingtastic minds thinking alike.
3. You have just earned 38 trillion awesome points for use of 'schadenfreude'. Avenue Q fan?
4. "Vice President of Corporate Communications and branch unfucking" might be one of the most hilarious lines ever.
