OMGOMGOMG! This imperfect perfect proposal does kick my ass. Totally. I've been in a long-distance relationship and your week does go like that, and the drive home is endless.
Only it is three times as hard for you, because when you go home, there are more places where she is supposed to be. I have to admit, I was a bit worried at the level of angst in the beginning of this story. I've felt that agony of missing someone so much, just like Jim.
You used to get them all the time at the beginning of your relationship and you’ve gotten over trying to one up him. Well, mostly. Love this. Of course Jim has a bit of a chip on his shoulder, he watched that oaf with Pam for 3 years, knowing he'd do things differently.

I keep coming back to that, Jim's in Scranton and Pam's in New York and that would totally suck.rnrnI love him trying to one-up Roy, I would if I were Jim.
