As a dedicated fan of PostSecret, I *really* loved you using it to bring Jim and Pam back together. Well done story!

Love this. Not the first time I've read it either. But the use of PostSecret is inspired.

Love that you did the Jim/Pam postcards--and even more that they're still up.

I love this concept. So true to my own early 2000s experience and to the characters.

I liked this, a lot. Much more than Season 3!

I really enjoy this story, as someone who has been affected by postsecrets it was interesting to read about the connection you found between all the postsecrets. All the visuals were great and made it more realistic. Great job.
Author's Response: I'm glad you liked the postcards, it was a lot to find them, but I think it made the story. And man, PostSecret is powerful stuff. Amazing how such a simple thing can be so profound!

So I know I've been all over your old stuff, but I just have to let you know how in love with your writing I am. This story is perfect. I love this phase in Jim and Pam's relationship--where the finally get over everything and are together. I have to say, I like your way more than the way they do it in the TV show--this way didn't leave me just sitting there agonizing over Karen and ugh. Anyway, seriously? You're awesome.
Author's Response:
You totally made my day with the reviews, so, thank you thank you!
Wow, liking this more than the tv, that is quite the compliment. I do rather enjoy this story myself, so I'll take it.
Major thanks!

The Edge of Something Big postcard is amazing. What a find! I love PostSecret and this story, so... Win-win.
Win.
Author's Response: That one always has stuck with me. So glad its worthy of three wins!

I love love love love love love (a billion times LOVE) the idea of Jim putting "it's not" on the postcard. Holy crap. I am reading on.
Author's Response: Oh wow, so glad you liked it. Haha, thanks so much :)

I'll be honest: the first time I read this fanfic, it had three chapters. I don't know why, but for some reason, I didn't see that there were two more chapters after it. I read it only as what I thought was a oneshot, and when I realized that you had added onto it, I didn't want to read it because I didn't think it could top what made an awesome cliffhanger. I'll say this: it did. All of Pam and Jim's secrets were great and I loved the other 7 chapters. Great job!
Author's Response: Ya know, that was one of my main fears as I was updating, I kept hoping the pay off would be good. I usually feel as if its great up to a certain point, and then, the end is a let down. I never really felt it with this story, and so, I am glad you didn't feel it either. That honestly is one of the best things I could hear. I am so glad you read the rest and reviewed! Thanks!

Sorry to be so late reading and reviewing this, EH! What an awesomely good story! I love the PS website (and books) - they're located kinda near where I live so the site makes the news occasionally. Really great idea to use that as the basis of a story. (I haven't been around much due to the illness and subsequent death of my MIL last month, so I'm catching up on my reading this weekend. And congrats on the admin position, too.)
Author's Response:
Dude, just yesterday I was like "Man, I didn't get a kaystar review at all, that kind of sucks" and so, then I check email and its like, review. Made me happy.
PS is so wonderful. I love that website, and its so addicting. Is it wrong I am jealous of your proximity to it. Just because I am. Its like, being awesome just because of location. Not that you were't great before. Man, shut up Emily.
Anyways, sorry your life has been so crappy. I think that is reason enough to take a break on fanfic.
I think the thing I have to remember most about admin stuff is making sure I don't accidentally delete something!

It really was a wonderful story. Absolutely your best yet.
Author's Response: Aww, thanks so much. And yeah, this story definitely holds a special place in my heart. So glad others enjoyed!

Never mind. That last chapter was too good to read without reviewing. I loved it! And I loved the postcard at the end. Seriously, the whole story was really, really good. I'm so glad you got that burst of inspiration! :D
Author's Response:
I'm so glad you caught up on this story. I'm glad that people liked the ending, because that was the chapter I was most hesitant about. Like, I spent 7 chapters building it up, and now they finally talk, and like, it was so open ended, and so, yeah. I'm glad people liked.
You rock Azlin. But you already know that.

Yay! I'm so glad she figured it out. And I'm glad Toby was so accommodating. For a second there I was worried that he wouldn't give it to her, but this fits S2 Toby better, I think.
Ack! I have to go! I'll review the rest later!
Author's Response: I don't like mean Toby. I like pathetic Toby who helps out Pam and is nice and sweet. So, thats the Toby I write.

Pam's feelings at seeing her secret posted online, are kind of the same way I felt when I posted my first fanfic story. I still feel that way sometimes, actually. Like what if someone from my RL sees my stuff and knows it's me? Freaks me out. Anyway, nice job again with the pics. :)
Author's Response: Ihad a secret posted online and I freaked. Like Pam. Yeah, that part was really true to life. I am still scared someone will be like "yo is this your secret" and it was posted like a year ago.

Oh my gosh! I love that he did that! And I love that he was so obsessed with looking at her card. It's totally like him to be that way, but it's also a lot like something I would do, which makes me like it even more I think. Anyway, I'd write more, but I'm too excited to read another chapter! This is getting really good! But how are they going to meet up if neither of them will call/email/go to the other one??? Must read more now!
Author's Response:
Okay, this review, like, makes me laugh and be all happy. I can't even explain it. Wow. Just. Wow :D
And trust me, I obsess over the cards also.

Okay, I kind of love that you have pictures to go with this story. It's like a bonus gift with each chapter!
I like that you didn't go through all of the arguing, crying, etc. between Pam and Roy. It's the sort of thing that I would feel the need to write out in detail, but it's good that you didn't because that's not what this story needed. I think I sometimes go overboard when I write and end up writing about every little thing that happens, but that's not always the best approach. Anyway, all this rambling to say: I admire your brevity. Ironic that I rambled my way into saying that, huh? ;)
Author's Response: Haha. Okay, I seriously didn't just because I would have no idea how to even attemt to write it. I love how everyone (okay you and Alamos) love my brevity, but really its just because I can't write longer, without it feeling strange. I would feel as if I tried to actually write that argument, it would be totally OOC, so I went with simple. But hey, people like it, I like it! :D

Whoa, I'm actually really glad I didn't try to keep up with this last week because the tension of not knowing what would happen, would really have interfered with my final projects. Anyway, I'm gonna stop writing now so I can keep reading! Can't wait for more... and I don't have to! Yes! :D
Author's Response: Haha. My fandom killed my GPA. Its true. :). But really... would I ever let those two not be happy together? ;)

Awww. So cool. Good stuff!
Author's Response: Thanks so much! Glad you enjoyed

What a perfect ending, to such a sweet story. Again I think the simplicity of the words you choose is strong and powerful: The silence felt uncomfortable, a new feeling for them both. Without having to elaborate you set the tone of the start of their conversation.
Also I think it was nice that you did not drag out the inevitable to them getting together.
Author's Response: Aww, Alamos, I love everything your reviews choose to be. They rock. I don't think I would be able to handle anything more drawn out than what happened. It would feel fake. I don't think it was an immediate "yay we're together and birds and butterflies and rainbows and everything happy" but, they had to admit that there was obviously feelings for each other, and sort of go from there.
Thanks so much for everything :)

Oh! I've seen that phone call postcard! Great chapter. I'm glad they talked about!
Author's Response:
Its a great postcard isn't it :). Well, all of them are. Haha.
Thanks so much for all the reviews, and glad you enjoyed.
Date: June 20, 2008 07:28 pm Title: Doesn’t Know It Yet
Wow. That real phone postcard is whoa. Anyway, thanks for writing and sharing this sweet story - I enjoyed it!
Author's Response:
That postcard stuck with me. It was in the book, and I saw it, and I was like, it just, I felt connected. And that was the only thing that was sticking with me as I was wriing it.
Thanks so much for all the reviews, it meant a lot. :D

I have quietly been following this fic, and I love the simplicity and that the end was left open. I really enjoyed this, and those postcards are actually really fantastic... I ended up looking around the site and I think the whole idea is amazing. And I love how you used them in this story.
Author's Response:
So glad you left a review. I wasn't sure about the ending, and my beta convinced me to leave it that way, so glad it worked. And that site is addicting, and you really can get caught up in it.
So I'm glad you felt this story worked, and thanks so much for the review :)
Date: June 20, 2008 03:20 pm Title: Doesn’t Know It Yet
I'm sad! I want more!
Great story, though! It was such an interesting concept.
Author's Response: Aww, well, it had to end sometime. I am so glad you enjoyed and thank you for all your reviews. Meant a lot :)
Date: June 20, 2008 03:06 pm Title: Doesn’t Know It Yet
Neat. I like how they wanted to stay connected, and the final postcard "she's going to marry me" is great.
And by the way, they'd better get married, because if they do the break up and make up thing over and over, I'm going to burn Utica to the ground. ;)
So I like this much better than Season 3. :) Nice job, Emily!
Author's Response:
That postcard, well, about a week ago, there was a second one, it was the exact same picture, with the white squirrel and it only had Yes on it. And I totally loved it. Partially because it made me smile like :D bu I was also like, ha! See, other people besides Jim and Pam talk though PostSecret (because it was up after I had started the idea for this story)
And trust me, if all isn't well with Jim and Pam... well, screw Utica, I will burn Hollywood to the ground.
Thanks so much Kev!
