This chapter is so beautiful. Absolutely wonderful.
Author's Response: Thank you! :)

That was one of the best things I have ever read. How simple and honest they were understanding the other ones pain. I am in awe of this last chapter. Thank you so much for a beautiful ending.
Author's Response: What a nice thing to say! You're welcome, and thank you for the kind words. I'm glad you liked it.

As you may know, I'm a sucker for these small ordinary moments - I think that's where these particular characters live. And you've created some lovely ones. I love the image of them under the covers in a cocoon, talking - so quiet and intimate. Also, your last line is terrific - nice callback to her drawing, but moreover, such a graceful and simple way to suggest Pam's hopefulness about their future.
Author's Response: Thanks Colette! I always feel honored to get a review from you. The small moments, the quiet ones we never see, are the ones that I love the most too, and have the most fun writing. I'm glad you liked the ending... I've been playing with this for two weeks not sure how to wrap it up, and I'm glad it worked. Thanks for reading :)

That was just beautiful, callisto. I love how they have these intimate conversations without yelling or fighting. They still know that they hurt one another, but they talk it out in a loving way, and so openly. I love your Jim and Pam - their honestly, their sensuality. Just perfect. I'm sad this story is done - you've done a beautiful job, here.
Author's Response: Thank you kells, and thanks for recommending my story on the boards. It's a great compliment. I'm glad you like how I handle them...I'm sure they must yell and scream sometimes, but somehow I always picture their confrontations being quiet. I was toying with adding one more Jim chapter but I think this is the best way to wrap it up. Thanks for reading, and thanks for the kind words!

callisto, that was absolutely breathtaking. The ending, in particular, was gorgeous. This whole chapter was so vivid and romantic and sexy, with a nice touch of humor. Excellent job, as always.
Author's Response: thanks Nan. I'm glad you enjoyed it. I had a hard time figuring out how I wanted to end this one, so I'm happy to hear it worked. I appreciate your encouragement and your always-kind words. Thanks :)

I think this one is my favorite. I just love how your weave bold and intimate with shy and embarassed. Very nice!!
Author's Response: Hey, I'm sorry I missed responding to this. Thanks for the kind words! They are greatly appreciated. :)

These are just lovely little moments in their lives that we never get to see. The normal, the mundane, the day-to-day, that's what it really is all about for our couple in love. It's interesting to imagine what their intimate conversations are about, since we seldom get much at work with the cameras on them. Although Jim definitely is much more open about Pam to the cameras as of late, and Pam didn't seem to care too much at the end of "Job Fair" either. I guess they're just so happy, they can't help but share it with us. :)
Author's Response: I think these kind of the moments are the most revealing about relationships but naturally, given the format of the show, we'll never see any of them. Very fun to write, though. I'm glad you liked it! I'm having a blast writing these. thanks for reading and taking the time to review. :)

I LOVE your take on that ice skating moment...How fabulous that both of them lied to spend more time together from time to time. Delicious.
Author's Response: Thanks LoveFool! I like to think there were lots of moments they conspired to spend together while maintaining the appearance of 'innocent.' Glad you liked it :)

Wow. Loved this, callisto. I was on vacation, so I had the pleasure of reading two installments in one sitting. This had such a lazy, intimate feel. Extra points for quoting that particular Sarah MacLachlan line (which I've always liked) ; ) Great job.
Author's Response: Thanks again Nan! I love that song too. Glad to see you're still reading! :)

Perfect and very real IMHO. I really enjoyed reading it.
Author's Response: Wow. Didn't my browser just go crazy a minute ago and post three replies! Anyway, nice to hear from you Nan! Glad you're enjoying it.

Callisto - this was so great. I loved the call back to ice skating, and the fact that Pam faked so that she could hold Jim's hand. And the two of them chatting it up in the car for over an hour? So totally them - I can absolutely see that happening. And how lucky is Pam getting to draw naked Jim? And, uh, the other stuff too...
Really loved this chapter. I'm sad that there is only one more of these to look forward to.
Author's Response: Thanks zeebee! I have to admit maybe the MTT background was a tad inspirational for the ice skating thing. And wouldn't we all want to draw naked Jim... I'm glad you liked it! I have one more in the works, possibly two, but no promises. :) Thanks for reading and leaving your thoughts! I appreciate it.

Hi, Callisto...
Loving this series so far. So very Pam and Jim as I would like to think of them away from the office. I always associated "Building a Mystery" with Mulder from XF, but it could fit Jim, as well, though I hope he is not as
f---ed up as Mulder. Anyway, awesome once again, and patiently awaiting more "Taking a Chance" (not so subtle hint, hint :-)
Author's Response: Hey Mountaineers, good to hear from you again! I certainly don't think Jim is as f-ed up as Mulder, but there's a lot to work with in that song... anyway, I'm glad you're enjoying it. Subtle hint taken; I just haven't decided where I want to go with that one and I don't want to force it, but maybe I'll get back to it when I'm done with this. In any case, thanks for reading and leaving your thoughts. I appreciate it. :)

What a beautiful, sweet interlude. I really enjoy how you write their interactions. The conversation seems very true to character. Thanks for the read!
Author's Response: Thanks Elle! I'm glad it seems true to character; that's important to me. I'm happy you liked it!

I love this fic! Everything down to the little details explain different issues about what these two are going though, and your writing is amazing. Great job :)

Aww, VERY sweet. I like that Pam was faking her ice skating, hehe. And I like how you describe her drawing.

Callisto, I love this series of stories! Pam realizing how she surrendered herself and her "wants" to Roy and how she doesn't want Jim doing the same thing? Brilliant. And I can understand Jim's reluctance to open up, to admit things. I think the angst is totally warranted -- these two kids have lots of history, and lots of future. There's bound to be angst! Love this, and now I'm going to read the next chapter. Great, great job!
Author's Response: Thanks wendolf! What a nice review! I'm glad you like it. "Brilliant" is certainly high praise. I've had a lot of fun trying to figure out how they communicate and I'm glad it seems real. The last chapter was pretty fluffy but hey, everybody deserves a break from reality sometimes, right? Thanks for reading :)

Oh. My. That Jim is a charmer. 600-thread count sheets? I'm loving the 'secrets' they're admitting to each other, too. Sounds just like them. Oh, and the “I’ll never be able to make it up to you.” Oh, Miss Pam...
Author's Response: Thanks lisahoo. Good to hear that it sounds real--that's high praise to me. The sheets just seemed like a nice touch, something Jim would think of. I'm glad you're still enjoying it :)

Like this- feels and sounds true to life- Not too angsty at all! Pam doesn't want Jim to be the one that always gives- like she was with Roy. Good dialogue & scene set-ups! and the lovin' is so sweet & hot at the same time, so more of that please!
yeppers, I really like this series and will look for more!!!
Author's Response: Thanks a bunch JamFan. I'm really honored that I've gotten so many comments about it feeling real and true-to-life; that's a huge compliment. I'm glad you like it, and thanks for the review! Feedback is gold!

oh callisto I am loving this story. I mean, these are real, honest conversations that people who plan on spending their lives together have. You are really good at taking the characters we love and giving them real problems, and then dealing with them in real ways. You have a knack for this, my friend. Just lovely.
Author's Response: Thanks kells! I'm glad you're enjoying it. 'Lovely' and 'real' are high compliments in my book. Thanks for the review...I appreciate the feedback. :)

These are so well written and lovely. Each chapter gets better and better. Parts of this story are angsty, but seeing Jim and Pam discuss issues on their personal life is what makes it seem so realistic. I was really impressed with how you wrote Pam's inner thoughts in this chapter. Jim seems like the sort of person who would go with the flow and not express his opinion on a particular subject. Seeing Pam try to coax it out of him seemed very realistic. Expecially since she fell into a passive role in her relationship with Roy. Anyway, great job!!
Author's Response: Thanks again!! And again, good to know I didn't veer wildly into melodrama, which I was afraid had happened. I'm glad you liked it. Thanks for reading, and I appreciate the reviews. Very encouraging! :)
