Very tricky, bashert. I was stuck in Casino Night and then landed in Goodbye, Toby. Nice job.

Until I read "...Toby's going away party" I thought for sure I was reading a story about Pam and Jim post-CN. I hadn't paid any attention to the similarities in the two relationships (sometimes I forget there are people other than Jim and Pam on the show.) Great job!

That is a crazy observation! I really liked this. Especially this:
He could list about a thousand reasons that she shouldn't go through with it. Starting with number one: she was too good for him, and ending with the last: He was supposed to be the one for her.
Poor Dwight. This made my heart break for him. Great job!

You know, Jim and Pam are so accessible as characters, that we all really relate to their angsty sadness- whereas Dwight and Angela are harder characters to relate to. When you draw the parallel between their experiences like you have in this piece, it just proves that what D & A are going through is just as heartwrenching. You did an excellent job of walking that thin line where it is still a Dwangela story even with the elements we are all so familiar with.

i love it. i love the parallels between those situations, and i hate the thought that angela would say this to dwight, but i can maybe see it happening. and you wrote it so well!

YES! I love this - they were in almost exactly identical situations! I love it - great one shot.

Whoa -- freaky observation, bashert. Let's hope S5 turns out as well for them as S3 (finally) did for Pam & Jim.

A great one-shot! You definitely had me fooled.
Only difference being that Angela actually is the office mattress ;-)

I love the moments in the show when Dwight becomes human. I love how you gave the impression of such vulnerability. It was heart-wrenching and still felt almost fleeting, like it was just a moment in time and when the sun comes up, Dwight is still going to be Dwight. Bravo!

It's identical enough that I assumed it was Jim! Nice. And I'm a firm believer that you should always just write it down when it won't get out of your head.
