This is beautifully written. Even though I don't think this would ever happen on the show, I definitely think it could happen if Jim/Pam were real people. Even though it might hurt to read, it will be interesting to read about what it would be like if Jim/Pam didn't end up together. I'm just assuming that they won't in thia story.
Author's Response: Thanks so much Sara. I don't think it will happen on the show either (I sure hope it won't!), but I could see it happening in real life, especially given their history. Anyway, it's interesting to explore the "what ifs"... Thanks for reading and reviewing!

You know my love for this fic knows no bounds. Is it sad from a JAM perspective, yes. But it's lovely. He's so okay with it, the reader has to be okay with it. And I completely believe the reasoning..that we've seen, as to why they broke up. I applaud your courage and honesty in writing it.
And while we're on the topic. It's excellent writing. Good flow and pacing and very very emotive. Excellent work.

yeah, i intensely worry about the drama they could realistically write in if Pam goes off to NY with a bare finger... great story start!

Wendolf! What a lovely surprise! I'll admit, if it wasn't you, I might pass this one by, but I love your stories so much, I just couldn't. And you've sucked me in already. Your writing is brilliant as ever. For example: She tucks her hair behind one ear in a way that reminds me of why I feel slightly afraid. And even though I'm feeling sad at the prospect of our happy couple no longer being a happy couple, and a little nervous at what Season 5 may bring, I will remain a faithful wendolf reader and reviewer : ) Looking forward to more and so happy to hear the magical words, "Updates should be fairly quick on this one."

I had to purge it out of me, I guess. Anyway, thanks so much for your review and for reading. Although there will be some angst (or memories of angst) along the way, I can promise a happy ending for everyone involved, even if it's not the traditional Jim/Pam happy ending... ;-)
