Well, this is really downbeat, but I actually think the ending works - it seems very Pam that going too far with Jim on Casino Night would have had a surface-level counterintuitive impact on her decisions.

This was so heartbreakingly sad for Jim. I think you did a great job with the ending - unless of course you wanted it to end with Jim and Pam together, then you may have to change a few words. Well done!
Author's Response: Nope, they're supposed to be far, far apart at the end of this one. I sort of wrote this story to justify to myself all the pain and hurt they had to go through in Season 3. If things had happened differently, they might not be together and so happy now, you know?rnrnThanks for your review!

I actually really enjoy the ending of this. Normally, I have this feeling of uncertainty when I read angst endings like this, but this one just seemed... so good!
Author's Response: Thanks for your review! (sorry about the delay in responding, I was sort of MIA for awhile.)

Wow...the description of their "interlude" was just amazing. I'll never be able to look at Jim's desk the same way again. But the ending? So sad for poor Jim.
Author's Response: Yeah, Jim takes a lot of abuse! :)rnrnThanks for your review!

I enjoyed this, Corking, angst and all. They stop short of (screwing)(fucking) actually making love... Very hot. I liked the ending, too. Great job.
Author's Response: Thanks so much for the review, NanReg. I really appreciate it!
