here's how i expected the story to go:
jim sets it all up, pam still questions why he's doing it. then when they do the presents, he hands her the card he took back at the office christmas party, and says, 'i meant it then, i mean it now'. then he proposes.
maybe unfair, but i was a little disappointed.
