This is always my favorite part of the show, because it's usually the moment when the biggest transformation takes place, and the person finally realizes their true potential. You've really captured that here with Pam. It's good to see her confidence really bloom. And thanks for all the pictures at the end of the chapters. They're always a great visual reference. (Except I think the makeover section needs a before pic too!)
I can't wait until the big reveal, especially with that little tease at the end. :D
Author's Response: Thank you!! Yes, I totally agree that once people get the hair and makeup done they really see the full effect of the transformation. I'm so glad you think I've done that with Pam here, because I do think her FNB hair is really the most noticeable change about her. And you are so right about needing a before visual!! Aw, yay for ol Pammy, getting some new threads! I love that you're using examples of her FNWardrobe from the show but also expanding it in believable ways. It's great to see her feel like she deserves all this. It's all just SO GOOD AND FUN AND HAPPY.

I am loving this. I've seen a lot of What Not to Wear, and this reads like a virtual transcript of an episode. Your Stacy and Clinton are just the right mixture of snarky and caring. It could have been really easy to go too far one way or the other, but you got them just right. I wonder whether this will go AU at the ed and everyone will find out about Pam's "secret boyfriend." Hee.

I actually did study a few episodes of What Not To Wear before I started writing to make sure I didn't leave anything out, so I'm glad that's transferring over into the story. I'm really glad you're enjoying Stacy and Clinton too; I think they would be a little more sensitive with someone like Pam, so I'm really trying to keep them in check while still getting the point across that she needs a change. Glad you think that's working. I'm going to try to keep things as close to the Office plot as possible, but hopefully What Not To Wear viewers will be able to clearly see who the "secret boyfriend" is, even though everyone else may be oblivious. This is getting more fantastic-er by the sentence, miss. I'll admit that I had reservations about how this would read, and what a fool I am. It's wunderbar! (I know your love for me using that word.) You could always write Pam, but the fact that - as I said in chapter two - Clinton and Stacy are so damn perfect is just the best. I can't get over how much I adoooooore this story.
And face it, kiddo, no matter how many bitchy days you or I may have, we're a team. (And we both know my days outnumber yours to the nth degree.) ;)

That was a great idea to add the photos! Believe it or not, Pam had much uglier shoes than what you've shown. Take a look at the shoes she wears in Safety Training. *shudders* I'm still loving this. You're doing a great job with it. I can't wait for Pam to meet Nick!

I love that Jim and Pam are dating behind all of this, I'd love to see more of that secretness (is that the right word?). I love the hidden glances between the two of them.
I would really love to see a behind the scenes dialogue between the two of them...some fluff, perhaps?
